In a league where TEs can play WR you should have found a better one. I would have even gone with a Dustin Keller and crossed my fingers. If Roy Williams can hang with Witten and Bush doesn't get hurt you might have something.
Crabtree? F'real? I think Roy and Lee will be crap, and I don't expect much of a pulse from Shockey... but I can't really say your team sucks because for all I know all your opponents probably have worse.
Crabtree hasn't even been drafted in most leagues I've seen. I think that was a waste of a middle round pick.
Crabtree in anything but the last rounds of a deep league is a terrible pick. Even if he does somehow get his contract signed, there hasn't been a Niner WR to make a blip on the radar fantasy wise since TO left (Don't tell me Brandon Lloyd either, sure he made a few nice catches, that was it) I think Roy Williams should at least put up 1000 yards and 7-9 scores.
Ok need advice. Long time fantasy b-ball vet, first time playing fantasy football. I'm in a 12 team league. Heres my team: 1 Adrian Peterson, Min 24 Greg Jennings, GB 25 Reggie Wayne, Ind 48 Marshawn Lynch*, Buf 49 Braylon Edwards, Cle 72 Dallas Clark, Ind 73 Matt Cassel, KC 96 Titans D/ST, Ten 97 David Akers, Phi 120 Rashard Mendenhall, Pit 121 Matt Hasselbeck, Sea 144 Isaac Bruce, SF 145 Jerious Norwood, Atl 168 Tony Scheffler, Den 169 Jason Campbell, Was 192 Kevin Faulk, NE I got to the draft late, so with the exception of TEN, Akers, Mendenhall, Hasselbeck, Bruce, Norwood, the rest were auto-pick. What should my next move be? I'm thinking of getting rid of Jason Campbell for a RB.
Yeah I didn't really know what I was doing. I was trying to fill up the roster spots. Hopefully the mistake won't cost me TOO much. Did I also make the mistake of drafting the D too early? lineup looks like this: QB - Matt Cassel RB - Adrian Peterson RB - Marshawn Lynch RB/WR - Braylon Edwards WR - Greg Jennings WR - Reggie Wayne TE - Dallas Clark Team DEF - Titans K - David Akers BENCH - Mendenhall, Hasselbeck, Bruce, Norwood, Scheffler, Campbell, Faulk
If you have Lynch, you need to pick up Fred Jackson for the first 3 weeks of the season. Jason Campbell should never be considered a fantasy option.
I think that trio of picking Cassel, Titans, Akers hurt you. Probably had some quality there and those three weren't worth picking that high (maybe with the exception of the defense, but I'm not a fan of picking defense very high).
