Why not? Have you heard one peep of out of Bad Boy Bonzi since he went to Memphis? Rasheed's got a low post game, playoff experience, and 3 point range making it hard for the elite WC PF's (Duncan, Dirk, Garnett) to double Yao. Since his drug bust, Wallace's wife has been in his ear about embarrasing himself, her and his children. He's been squeaky clean since. Rasheed was playing out postion (SF) at POR and at 7' has even played Center. Consequently, his numbers diminished. Rasheed is a friend of Cuttino and on a per minute basis his numbers are almost identical to CFans favorite Abdur-Rahim who has no playoff experience and a lot less range. Wallace's next contract will be much more reasonable. What's not to like? His passionate play?
dupong: "this from Chad Ford of ESPN: Why don't the Blazers get on the phone with the Rockets and 76ers and get this trade done: Portland sends Randolph, Woods and Patterson to the Rockets and Davis and Stoudamire to the 76ers. Philadelphia sends Eric Snow to Houston and Glenn Robinson and Aaron McKie to Portland. Houston sends Steve Francis and Eric Piatkowski to Portland." Jeez, I'd do that trade, too -- why doesn't CD get on the phone to Chad Ford and ask him how to convince Portland? They'd be shipping us two bruising forwards who could start for us (esp. Randolph), plus a swingman once thought to have LeBron-style potential. Who knows how Woods will develop? He could be Eddie Griffin, he could be Tracy McGrady. I'll take that risk!
I'd take the Chad Ford trade but we better start finding a PG replacement with some of our other parts.
ArtV: "I'd take the Chad Ford trade but we better start finding a PG replacement with some of our other parts." Eric Snow this year: Ranks #6 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(7.1) Ranks #5 in the NBA in Assists(367.0) Ranks #6 in the NBA in Assists Per Turnover(3.16) Ranks #9 in the NBA in Assists Per 48 Minutes(9.4) Career Assist to TO ratio: 3.03:1 Sounds like a PG replacement to me. Seriously, as pointed out in the other thread "ESPN Fantasy," this will never happen. Why on earth would Portland do it?
Rasheed would be a great addition, however, is he worth the baggage he'll bring? Probably not, but to get him, Stevie would have to go, which is not a good move at all... He's not having his best year, but so what...He's entitled and it takes more than one player to win They will make the playoffs this year and will have a better record than last year... Stevie has to improve, but to blame him for everthing is BS... If you think he's a problem, just wait and see if Sheed comes here...
iam sure wallace would love to get a 7 million 5 year deal, all u can get form the mle is 4.5 for one year. hes worth it and i dont think many teams have got enough cap space to go after him or dont want him and cat is a good friend C-Yao PF-Wallace SF-Jackson SG-Cuttino PG-Steve
