    That was my thought also.

I figured a banger at PF....however, if you can by some miracle draft :D errr "land" Lewis you could use him as your finesse Power and Hayes as your banger.

Of course when Hayes and Lewis are in the game together you could use Hayes at the 4 and Lewis at the 3?

    Would that work?

Has always been a small forward, so far as I know. Although he is not small at 6'10" and 230 lbs. NBA.com lists him as a Foward which generally denotes a '3'. Definitely is not a post player, low or otherwise.

    maybe for phoneix...

we need an elton brand type PF (not that we will ever land that). a rebounding physical shot blocker with decent mid-range.

    someone like... darko?

but rashard would be SICK with tmac and yao.

Never going to happen. He's not going to go after a 5.5 million MLE when he just walked away from 10.5 million. Sign and trade..yeah, for what. No one would want Juwan unless this was the last year of his contract. The only tradeable assests are untradable. Besides if we were going after someone, I'd rather be going after Chauncey Billups.

For the money - Chauncey Billups would help us more. He is physical and can defend well too. Tough Tough player-do you pay the max for both players?- beause in my opinion - Chauncey Billups is worth more.....

Rashard is going to the Orlando Magic, he feels they have a definite shot of winning in the east. Especially if they land a point guard or a shooting guard from somewhere. Think about this front line (Darko, Howard, and Rashard). Trouble waiting to happen.

I remember after he was interviewed after a game by Bill and Calvin a few seasons back that they told him that they wish he was wearing a Rocket's uniform and he replied "I do too" and he winked to the camera and ran off.

That tells me that he would still be willing to play for us. It's all on Rashard though. If he tells the Sonics that the only team he will be traded to is the Rox, then the Sonics might say getting something is better than nothing. But that something had better be "Expiring contracts and draft picks" b/c there is no way that Seattle takes on big contracts of mediocre players. They would rather let him just walk.

Why would they want expiring contracts in exchange for a player they don't have under contract? They can just let him walk and not have to worry about salary anyway.

This brings up an interesting point. Seattle is about to get a very valuable player in Oden or Durant who will have a very low (rookie) salary. Maybe they should be looking to use this opportunity to get under the cap and sign a big free agent or two in the years before Oden/Durant are up for big extensions.
