for the few that are still thinking "why didn't we draft him"...we probably wouldn't have Yao if we had gotten him. May not have gotten TMac. Things wouldn't be the same.. and although Lewis is a good player, I don't think he's one to build around. He'd be a great piece to have on the team now, so I'd love to bring him in after the fact...but I'm also glad in hindsight that things worked out the way they did. I like having Yao

It's amazing Rashad still wants to play for the Rocket considering Rox screwed him up big time in that draft. But he sure will fit well on this team.
You know what's really sad? Not only did we pass on him at draft time, but we passed on a trade a couple of years back. Seattle wanted Eddie Griffin. We said no. EG melted down. Shard blew up. So it goes.
I don't know if he'd wanna be third fiddle behind TMac & Yao in our current system, but yeah, who knows? Maybe one day it'll be Rashard Lewis & Okafur leading the Rockets.

I think Ray Allen is demanding 6 yrs/$90M. If the Sonics let him walk, they will have a LOT of money to give Lewis. On the other hand, with Allen gone, Lewis may want out. Anyone know how many years he has left?
Rashard has 4 years left on his contract so this signing Ray Allen really doesn't have any effect on this. Also, I heard that Ray Allen would actually accept less than that, I don't know what the hold up is for Seattle.

Swift? Are you talking about Rashard's teammate Robert or Memphis's Stromile? Robert Swift is from Bakersfield California and Stromile Swift is from louisiana. Is there a Swift from Houston I'm not aware of?
