Having Rashard Lewis would be nice. But can the Rockets afford to get Lewis? They signed Glen Rice, plus others who play the same position like Walt Williams And why bother? Someone had mentioned in an earlier reply that Kenny Thomas is producing practically the same numbers as R. Lewis. Just keep Thomas, and let Terence Morris develop with Steve Francis. I'd would rather the Rockets pursue someone like Antonio McDyess, who recently said his season may be over. If the Rockets can somehow unload Rice, fine. Get Lewis. I don't think that Rice has bright future. But getting a big man like McDyess, or drafting someone like Melvin Ely would be more sensible.
Ah, the problem with the lewis vs thomas theory is invalid, because kt is not a 3 according to Rudy's system...we could never have him as a 3, because EG would have to start at the 4 then or vice versa....freakin play KT and EG on the court at the same time or let EG start somewhere damn it....I think KT is a servicable 3 type...not prototype, but definitely worth trying..
Give Rashard the 9 million that Rice is getting and when Rice's contract is up, his contract just replaces it. He wouldn't be expensive.
If we trade for Rashard now we get his Bird rights correct? Houston trades: Kevin Willis $3,000,000 to Seattle Houston trades: Kenny Thomas $946,920 to Seattle Houston trades: Terence Morris $490,000 to Seattle TOTAL: $4,436,920 Seattle trades: Rashard Lewis $4,413,375 to Houston TOTAL: $4,413,375 TRADE ACCEPTED Since he's a free agent I wouldn't give Seattle our first rounder outright but I would be willing to give them the option of switching picks with us.
