Son you want to trade the Franchise Player- possibly you are either a Boston Fan or a LA Fan. This sort of talk is just loved by all our competitors!! :p

To make this team more sucessful, you have to consider every options you have: changing the coach is one, taking a wait and see approach is one, and trading Yao is certainly an option as well.

At this point, RA has proved that he can take his team to the conference finals. Yao, on other hand, has not proved he can do anything beyond the first round of playoffs, so at least at this point I can't honestly say that changing the coach is a better option than changing the player.

Remember, team sucess is above everything.

You all are crazy!! Trade Yao because we only have McGrady who is able to throw the ball into Yao Ming even when he is being wrestled. Without another playmaker Tracy McGrady becomes the most important part of our team and the center is left high and dry. Welcome back the Tracy and Yao machine, the backbone of the Rockets. :p

honestly if we can have a 4 hit 10/10 shots aka super scola every night then no we do not need yao.

and if we can get rafer alston to hit 15/15 plus 5/5 from 3 point land we dont need tmac either.

trade em both for the roster of the dallas cowboys cheerleaders. we dont even need players for either of them, just get them cheerleaders

in the real world, then no we do need yao :(

Les will never trade Yao. I repeat: NEVER.

No disrespect, but if you think this far into the season where we've played well for the most part and won more games than lost during a particularly brutal stretch of schedule, we already need to pull the trigger on a major trade, you're nuts.

Okay, maybe a little disrespect. ;)

Yao is fine when Tmac is in the game. If you expect him to take over a game and lead this team to a victory then you are out of your damn mind. It has nothing to do with RAs offense.

The cash cow will not be traded.

He did and should have beaten LA in 2002 in the conference final and should have won NBA title against weak Nets. But a 3 pointer by Holley shot after the clock made Kings out. That's why NBA introduced replays to make sure the ball is off hand before the clock.

This is very true. If we are reasonably sure Yao's performance will go down in the new system, it might be to the best interest of the Rockets to make a trade before it is late, just like selling a good stock when it peaks.

That said, I hope Yao can stay and Rockets can find a way better using him. I am a little concerned if that is the case based what I have seen so far.

I don't like the way many posters jump into a quick negative conclusion on the OP.

wa did have chance last night, Yao was on hire during the last few minutes, thought we probably could do the same as we did at home(Rafer kept passing to Yao and we won), but stupid Luther chose to shoot 3 point while Yao got his position already.

Actually, with McGrady out, the team is more fluid in Adelman's offense. It's no coincident that both Scola and Battier had breakout offensive games. Everybody is involved. Yao needs to take high percentage shots, cut down his turnovers, and be more aggressive in getting rebounds. Those are very doable. McGrady's humongous contract is more detrimental to the team's long-term success. As a 20+ million dollar guy who has never been able to lead his team out of 1st-round playoffs, McGrady can be easily replaced by a capable swingman at a much cheaper price, the money saved can then be used to upgrade our PG.

    Get it done, Morey.

Actually the only team that will give us good players for our needs is the Bulls.

If Yao is the one to be traded I will say we have to ask for Hinrich and Thomas. or for Wallace and Duhon. (I would prefer to have Hinrich instead of Duhon of course)

If Tmac is the one to be traded i will try to pull off the Bulls Nocioni and Hinrich, an all star PG and a SF Good defender rebounder that can hit the 3.

This is the most schizophrenic board I've ever seen.

Watch Yao have a good game tonight 35/12 50%+ FG and we'll get a 10 page long thread of people saying YAO MVP!!!
