It's just due diligence for the Raps to have a framework in place with each of the players for Bosh. If they they don't have an idea of what they can get back they can't exert whatever little influence they have. But Colangelo is on the record saying that a huge TE is one of the best ways for them to go, which is bad. But I think the Rox are really the only team with trade assets that actually help them recover quickly.
This from Insider.....(wonder what Bucher will report now ) RAPTORS DONT WANT BEASLEY The Miami Herald is citing league sources that say the sign-and-trade proposed below isn't legitimate. Writes Michael Wallace: "Multiple league sources disputed the deal, including a high-level Raptors source who said the team had no real interest in Beasley or Chalmers. Toronto would, however, consider a $16 million trade exemption and the return of its first-round pick from Miami in the 2009 Jermaine O'Neal trade for a potential Bosh move." Considering the Heat haven't found any takers for Beasley so far, this does make sense.
