I would actually send Mobley and Cato to Toronto fro VC cuz Mobley is more selfish than Vince. When Cat gets the ball, he rus around and tries to be AI, which he is not, and when time is almost up he sends up a prayer. Even Calvin Murphy yells at him to "pass the damn ball" Dont disagree with me on this. We all here it all the time on Rocket broadcasts. If Vince is selfish, Mobley is the blackhole of basketball, pass the ball to him and never see the ball again!!!!!!!

If he tried to be AI, why doesn't he take as many shots as AI?

Also, I'd like to see a documented list of the number of times Murphy tells Cat to pass the ball, compared to all other players. If Mobley's the blackhole of basketball, Michael Finley, Allan Houston, Ray Allen, and Richard Hamilton must be the blackholes of the universe, since they shoot more times than Cuttino with less assists.

No no no... no Vince Carter please. We don't need another star. The formula of championships has long been the 2 stars plus a bunch of capable role players. We have a star in Francis and a potential one in Yao. We just need to find the suitable role players to compliment them then we will be fine. If people think Cat already takes shots away from Yao, how many shots do you think Yao would get alongside Vince? As good as Vince is, Cat would work more effective as the 3rd option than Vince IMO.

I guess my question is why is this in the Rockets forum? Has there been any indication, published or *insider* info to suggest that the Rox are even interested in VC?

I'm interested to see how this turns out, and you know, the Rox have made some great moves reeling in big-names in the past. I just don't see this one happening, given what we would be willing to trade (obviously not Ming or Franchise) and the fact that we don't have an '03 draft pick as sweetener.

Ming really does like Vince though...

Dallas has 3 (maybe 4) stars in Dirk, Finley, Nash and possibly van Exel. Sacramental has 3 (maybe 4) stars in Webber, Peja, Bibby and possibly Jackson. (BTW, both teams have one of the stars as a *backup*. Talk about surplus of offensive weapon!) They are doing pretty good right now.

The Lakers have 2 stars and a bunch of role players. They aren't doing very well. In this day and age of "whatever you can do defense" you need as many guns as possible to bust the zone.

Money issues aside, Carter IS an upgrade to Mobley, no doubt about it. The only question is whether he is really a damaged good or his injuries are due to being the focal point of the team. I suspect the former.

Vince Carter (when healthy) IS a better player than Mobley but he is NOT a better option than Mobley for this team. The ideal of role of our 2-guard is shooting 10-15 shots a game, can hit clutch 3 pointers, is willing to pass and more importantly play tough defense. Sorry I see Mobley beat Vince in all those criteria.

    Mobley stays.
