I think NO could get more contributing talent with Peja's expiring contract. I don't know their luxury tax situation but to me, it seems it is their main motivation, their are the ones giving the best asset away in Bayless.

Technically two trades to circumvent that.

Jarret Jack will fit well with New Orleans, everyone else are just fillers....this deal won't make either team all that much better.

    Peja's huge expiring.

I think the Hornets could get more

I like NO's aggressiveness. Take a chance. Get better.

Seems like an unnecessary risk... they have the best record in the NBA at 10-1.

Game-changing trade for fantasy owners of Calderon. If it happens...

Bayless just doesn't hit shots. And he's turnover prone on Steve Francis type levels. He's a definite "upside" player all the way, but I think that upsides is as an undersized combo guard and not a point guard.

Can Toronto still flip Peja for something else at the trade deadline?

Bayless is the best player among the five, which doesn't say much.

Expiring contracts have lost appeal in a major way the last couple of years.

If they're desperate, Toronto could flip Peja for Arenas.

They're not desperate, they are hot. Arenas would kill their mojo. If I was hungry enough I'd eat dog food, but I'm not that hungry.

I think Jarrett Jack is the best player among the five.
Bayless would be the most frustrating imho because of his ability.
We all know Peja is just about done. He's showing more effort this season but meh.

The real score here is for the Hornets acquiring David Andersen.
