    I am not for trading Lowry for a protected 1st round pick...seriously the guy has better value than that...suns screw us out of dragic and now we basically gift wrap Lowry and give him away...wow

    Tanking simply doesnt make sense in the reasoning of why offer Asik and Lin big deals, just to tank with them? makes no sense, but hey Ill stay tuned

    He wasn't coming to play with either of those players either. It's possible that Morey can still land Howard and keeping Scola and K-Mart and still have young talent left over. This draft pick is a HUGE deal breaker for him. Ofc, you could be right and they will keep it and just trade K-Mart and Scola for more draft picks.

    Because they are young players with upside (Asik more so than Lin IMO) - that's the object of tanking.

    Once again, look at Charlotte - there's no need to be historically, hopelessly bad.

    I'll only be happy with this if Scola and Martin get dealt too. No more trying to be "competitive while rebuilding" with average players.

    But Lowry was still young and on a great contract. He could have stayed through the rebuilding. This is all on Mchale...that pick better be good.

    It also seems clear we will do our best to trade Scola whatever the return. Martin will be gone before the deadline for sure... hopefully before the season starts...
