The Rockets weren't making the playoffs this year anyway. Raptors have a shot at an 8th seed and first round sweep. They will be competitive and he will like Casey as coach. Toronto is a nice city to live in also. Colder than Houston yes, but it's got all you need
No one expects you to be calm. Hell, I'm not calm, but making post after post after post after post after post, etc.? If boredom will bring calm, you're bringing it big time. We'll all be asleep soon, dreaming of the mid-'90's. Perhaps that's your plan.
roster PG- boykins-1/2 SG- Lamb- 1 Sf- parsons, morris-2 PF- Patterson, Jones, Motiejunas, Leuer, Brockman, White, scola, smith, forbes C- Asik- 1 I think we are a little thin on Power Forwards!!!
Bout to be '05-'06 all over again. I will still get my league pass and watch my Rockets develop but this is going to be "painful"
No its not. Every shot or opportunity by new guys is gonna be interesting to find out about them. I am going to be thrilled to see what Machado, D-mo, Parsons, Lamb, Jones, White, Morris can all do on the same team together. Its a total mystery. I expect to be pleasantly surprised a few time.. This should be a glorious season even if its losing. Of course my opinion on that is subjective because I happen to think that is Moreys one strength is talent evaluation from the draft and making shrewd minor moves to get guys like that. I also to think highly of those young guys.
Only person that came in mind was Stu Jackson and his brilliant Otis Thorpe for future first pick between Vancouver Grizzlies and Detroit Pistons. That turned into #2 for Detroit and they could've had Wade, Bosh or Carmelo..
Time to flip K-Mart to MEM for either Josh Selby or Tony Wroten Jr. Due to Mayo's likely departure and Tony Allen's r****dation on the offensive end, they'll be looking for an experienced scorer (Ray Allen's a pipe dream). I'd prefer Wroten, but Selby's a very explosive PG in the Steve Francis mold.
I'd rather just do a S&T for Mayo. Mayo has been played out of position for most of his NBA career. He's a Pick-n-Roll point guard and at this point, I'd be very happy to give him about $4 million per for 3 years and hand him the PG position. We could be striking gold by doing that. Mayo was the best rated player in the country of his high school graduating class. He's got a lot of talent that has not been tapped and developed yet.
Scola and Martin is next for 2 more draft picks...wow don't need morey to acquire a first round draft picks...joe schmoe can trade valuable assets for first round draft picks..Pls fire maury already!
Lowry Trade: They couldn't of got Calderon, too? I'll never pretend to understand this trade, but you mean to tell me they couldn't have at least gotten back Calderon along w/the draft pick? I'm not saying that even then the trade makes sense, but w/Calderon at least you know you'll have someone to dribble the ball up the court. And Macado and Forston don't count. Forston can't even dribble.
