I'm so tempted to jump on the "fire Morey" bandwagon, except i can't stand all of the other people in the wagon. It's killing me to reserve judgement. This trade sounds so underwhelming for Houston.
Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen That and anything else they want. RT @accfanto: @Jonathan_Feigen So is the TOR pick now officials part of the Dwight package?
Saves the team $4.25M since Forbes makes $1.5M, plus Dragic's cap hold will be gone once he signs with Phoenix officially.
Calderon makes Kevin Martin money and is also an expiring contract. If they're trying to make the playoffs he's good for depth as he can cover both guard positions.
I had thought Lowery was a central trade piece if we were going to make that trade (to replace Nelson) but Magic, Jameer Nelson agree in principle to new contract http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/...ple_to_new_contract/srvc=home&position=recent
No. Les or any smart owner wouldn't want to pay Scola 30 million dollars for him to play somewhere else. Scola at his contract, is still good value. You can get something out of him.
You have to assume that since negotiations stalled out last night, this might have something to do with it. Its speculative at best, but its possible. However, I dont know how much of gamble Morey is willing to put into a high dollar contract with an unproven long term player like Lin. There must be a limit on the dollar amount, and you must be able to walk away if you think Lin might become a liability during the life of his contract if his talent is overrated.
Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen Maybe, but that's what they're trying to do. It should be noted that there will be 4 or 5 good C prospects expected to comeout in the 2012-2013 draft.
