I'm pretty sure living in Kingwood makes you a 281er, guy. Of course, when I lived in Kingwood (80s) it was in the 713.
I grew up in 713 territory. It is now 281, but it is still densely populated by trailers. Hence, 713=281 I believe you are confused, sir. 409 has more shacks than trailer parks. Go poverty!
and if you're living in a town house in like midtown, the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd ward--just go away. you're part of the problem. quit bringing the suburbs to the inner loop.
well there are tons in midtown and the east side, I live six blocks from toyota center just east of 59 in the old china town, everything around us is new town houses or lofts, there are some warehouse's and there are a few bars/clubs and a few strip centers pretty much any old house is gone or will be soon in our area
Actually it was nothing. It was 7 digit dialing. But these youngins who talk out of their asses wouldn't have any idea about that.
and tearing down the houses instead of renovating them and building shoddy townhouses is part of the problem. the inner loop is going to be one giant suburb in 20 years. so gross.
I said downtown to make it easy on some of the 281ers who don't understand the major redevelopment going on down here.
that's one area that doesn't need redevelopment in the way it's receving it. there's a thriving arts community in the warehouse district that is about to dissapear thanks to crappy townhomes, yuppy lofts, and soccer stadiums. FTW.
what the hell is this????? complaining about complainers.... what a self-indulgent rant. i'm 281 born and raised, now actually i live in san marcos 512, but at heart i am a member of the 281 terror parade. and i will complain freely about traffic if i please, because it is an inconvenience to me. i think i have that right. SOLUTION: WESTPARK TOLLWAY i can get from my house to toyota center in less than 25 min, whereas 1-10 would run around 1-2 hours.
but yeah, sometimes I just tell mixed company that i live in the river oaks area. i actually live in cherryhurst, in the heart of the montrose, but you can imagine the crap i have to go through when telling people i live in the montrose. fact is my neighborhood is probably nicer than theirs.
