btw, SwoLy-D. "food" does not rhyme with "TOOT." You're signature is wrong.

well done. now you might want to put a comma between "VAMOS" and "TEXANS"...you know, just to be consistent with the rest of your signature.

    Get Em heypatner!!! :D

and yes, I mis-spelled that intentionally.....so byte me.

green lines are for grammatical errors in spell checkers.

but now that I think about it, that must be in Word cause I just tried to make one appear while writing this, and failed.

another thing I just realized I do that irritates people (besides the ellipses) is space out every line....but hey, you can't claim my stuff is hard to read.

The purpose of the thread was for me to vent. I never thought it would go this many pages!

Also, to those of you that I unintentionally offended, please, just try to type in a manner that is not hard on the eyes. If I have to read it three times to make sure I understand what you are saying, I likely won't read it the next time.

Today I think it got on my nerves because I was tired and had a funeral to go to this afternoon. (no I am not pms'ing thank you very much)

I already have the really horrible offenders on ignore, so if I say something to correct you, it's because I care what you are saying.

    Thank you.

It's because we have such a mastery of the English language that we can improvise and manipulate it. Just like Jazz musicians, Actors, etc...

Don't worry, not everyone is perfect, just learn to live with other people's mistakes. I corrected one of my English professors last year in my Environmental Writing class.. he used "it's" instead of "its" to show possession. One of the best feelings evaaarr!!! I pretty much got laid immediately afterwards by this hot girl in my class because of my genius.

English is my second language, but I try to do my best, I know when to use capital letters, and punctuation too.

But what Im bad sometimes is putting some words in disorder or other words instead, but I keep trying to do my best.

On MSN, Swoly corrects me, and I try to make less errors everytime.

    :)

I only read the original post in this thread..

...and I think it's really unfortunate that a poster insultingly calls out another poster for "disregarding grammar when posting" .. let him do whatever the hell he wants, I wanna see the OP try to post in Arabic or Japanese on a message board, see how much fun native speakers will make fun of you for "disregarding grammar" .. as a matter of fact, I can probably dig up a bunch of grammatical errors posted by you OP, and then we can discuss your complete disregard for grammatical soundness.

I'm not being defensive because I'm one of those r****ds who don't know the difference between "loose" and "lose" and "there" and "their", I'm rather proud of my English since I've spoken a different language for the first 14 years of my life, but I just think it's really absurd for a poster to cheapshot another by posting a "rant" .. I mean, you could've expressed your hatred for grammatical imperfection by simply stating it rather than showing off another poster. but then again, it's the internet so you can do whatever the heck you want (oops, forgot to capitalize "but" at the beginning of the sentence)..

yep, it's a very safe assumption to work under.. after all, it's blatantly obvious that most rockets fans are PHD's! after all, who would follow a sports team comprised of 5 tall guys chasing an orange ball and trying to get it to go into a rim with a nylon net hangin down from it for 82 games each year other than PHDs and highly educated people?

I don't know if the poster of that poorly worded post is a native English speaker or not, but I'm of the belief that one should master the language before exhibiting their foreign language skills in public.

that's not the point though, the point is that the OP has ZERO right to tell a poster to go "master the language before exhibiting his skills" .. not only that, but she does it in a tasteless pontificating way by simply calling out another poster's level of intellect.

and no offense, but I think you might want to set a good example for others to follow and "master the language before exhibiting your NOT-foreign language skills in public" . One should master HIS, not THEIR..
