patrick patterson is a marshmallow-soft rebounder compared to thomas robinson

Not sure if you noticed who just committed to KU about 24 hours ago. Im not a Kansas fan at all, but they certainly aren't the worst big basketball school at developing players. 4 rotation NBA players in the past 2 years isn't really that bad.

tjones and trob will both be contributors in this league maybe not all-stars, but both have brighter futures than patterson...and if you want sum pf's to worry about having on your team try clumsy ass DMO and im more important than life royce white.

i don't view any of them is a legitiment and traditional pf who we can rely on to dominate low post on offense end. plain and simple.

except his athletism, trob has nothing. if he just started his college career, i would be fine with him to develop into a backup pf in 4 year college bball.

I don't see a player with his skill set and athleticism being a bum in the NBA. I think he can be a solid player for us or another team.

Ibaka needs to work on his post offense. One of the reasons why memphis is owning the okc front court.

I feel bad for Mitch's kid for killing his NBA future at Lotto Bust University.

I can respect that. I just don't like the ppl that label him short and then go on to say jones and smith are just way bigger. IMO I don't see how he doesn't become at the least a rotation big. His hustle rebounding and defense should be enough To get him playing time once he understands the game plans.

I'm a big fan as I'm sure you can tell and even I'm alarmed at how many open dunks and easy lay ins he missed this yr. with that said he was a finisher in college and while many sight the national championship game with him shooting 6/17 or something like that going against NBA size players in Davis and jones. I say to them is he pulled down 17 rebounds out scored Davis and jones and held Davis to 1/10 shooting.

I also saw Trob dominate henson a lottery pick from UNC who had a pretty good rookie season and is extreamly long. My guess is the NBA is what it is.... The best league in the world it takes time for these young bigs to develop. The talent drive and motivation is there to go along with strength and elite athletic ability. Only knock you could say is that he's a small 6'9 but with a 7'3 wingspan i don't think It matters much and most scouts agreed to this and gms why he went to 5.

I like what another poster said in that Trob and tjones are locks to be rotation quality bigs thought out there careers if not better. It's dmo and Royce white who have high bust factor. Dmos not the first 7 ft euro with skill to not make it in the NBA. This league is fast and strong and you need to be able to run and be quick to make it now that's why jones and robinsons should be just fine. They can plate defense and rebounding which will always keep you in the league.

so far he's been a bust for two different teams, just because he was a lottery pick with potential doesn't mean much, plenty of high lottery picks have turned into complete busts (eg the Wes Johnsons, Ekpe Udohs, Johnny Flynn etc).

He already possesses abilities you can't teach. If he spends the offseason getting a mid range jumper, he'll be special

Can't finish around the basket check
    Can't shoot midrange check

    Those are 2 fatal flaws.

This guy is a bust. At best he'll be a role player.

Good odds that Robinson ends up being an impact player. IMO it is 2-4 years down the road. Do we really want to wait? Do we need to? I think that Jones and Motie will develop faster. I think all 3 will be impact NBA players.

Wow you would be so far out of this world to think any GM would give the Rockets anything better than that at all. Those are pie in the sky scenario's.

I still think he has shown enough to get a low 1st rounder. I hope you all aren't calling Robinson a bust. Are you? Way too early for that.

Give him time... Ibaka just got his going last year.

I would rather him develop post moves. We need somebody scoring in the paint.
