if halfway through the season we are in top 5 or 4 with tmac coming back avg like 20-30 a game, im sure one of those sundays abc will switch to broadcast our games
We started the season last year with less national games scheduled than what we actually had. I see the same thing happening this year, depending on how the team plays.
Rocket Nation reaches far outside Houston! to the OP, I'm sure the networks will get their act together and drop some less favorable matchups midway in the year/closer to the end of the season
here in Mexico, we got games on ESPN on wednesday and friday only, and I was surprised (and happy) that yesterday they broadcasted the lakers-rockets. I think that is the only game of the rockets Im going to see on TV.
Kinda answered your own question. The way they see it, they want the games that would supposedly get the most viewers. Maybe with the stars out you get less viewers. Im sure after the LA game they are like dammit.
I would like to see Blake playing but not more then the Rockets. Boo But thats what they think? 1st pick gets priority! Pfft
Also consider this; the Rockets are HUGE in China. My understanding is they show every freaking game (even with Yao out). That alone generates a lot of revenue for the NBA. It's kinda like deversifying your stock portfolio. If it ain't broke (and it's making you money) don't fix it. They don't have to show Rox on national TV, because they're already generating revenue (basically free revenue BTW) in China, so they can fill those National TV spots with other teams. Diversity.
