I have soc mocs. Good hybrid compromise for me.

I'm always bumping into things and ramming my feet into something. If there's a foot hazard on the sidewalk or around the house, my feet will find it. The invention of foot coverage just agrees with me. I dont have a problem with other people wearing flip flops though. Its like wearing watches, bracelets and necklaces, some people choose to do it big deal.

Part of it is how flip flops have become a stylized accessory. And people mostly women do wear flip flops "suggestively". In a way to show its not just about comfort and leisure. Some girls think they got the cute little ankles and toes and all that stuff to show...Generally Legs+Ankles+Toes = Woman. So flip flips and open toes is for girls, okay?

Now when men join in its adds a bit of yet more gender ambiguity thats ick...I'm way in support of comfort before fashion. The Hawaiian shirt, tropical climate way. Nudist colony it even, whatever feels comfortable. Just the re-adapting to the physical signals is the issue really. Like in the glam metal days when dudes had long luxurious hair, no thats not a rocker chick thats a maaAAAN BABY.

Manny = Ralphie? This thread reminded me of this act.

NSFW after the 4:00 mark... Part that applies about the same point...

    Sorry... for the language.

no not kidding at all, have you tried them...... I find the comfort awesome and couldn't give a flying frick what people think my footwear looks like,

a big hell yeah to immadrummer for his awesome post...

happy to be labelled a douchebag by anyone who wants to label people based on their footwear, don't wear pink one's but have a red pair that i wear at home and down to the shops, have a dark brown pair that get worn commonly to a casual dinner or to a trip to the pub and have even worn them a few times to see a gig

    croc on

Holy crap. That dude's foot/leg, look almost exactly like mine, other than the length of the middle toe.

And I like to wear those kind of sandals too.

My 2 cents: I wear my sandals a lot, but that mostly means around the house and to the grocery store. Most everywhere else I'll put on shoes, but I really don't like the way shoes feel at all.
