Honestly, they don't bother me, but that cover sure as hell does.

Been meaning to pick that one up. She has an amazing voice.

I really like unexpected covers like:

Zwan's: Number of the Beast (my actual favourite cover song)
    Beck's: everybody's gotta learn sometimes (wow !!!)
Calexico's: Alone again or (wow 2)

Often it comes down to the point that good or excellent bands tend to make very good and original coverversion.

Then on the other hand, all the ****ty bands just don't bring it originality-wise and with absolutely no class.......

Speaking of cross-genre covers (and many of you have probably heard this, but oh well), everyone should give Nina Gordon's cover of "Straight Outta Compton" a listen.

Ummm, maybe because they were a major influence for their careers so they honored them? Maybe a wild guess.

i dunno. i actually liked manson's take, then cash, and then depeche last.

just for submission, ray lamontagne's rare cover of "crazy" by gnarls barkley is pretty cool.

I hate bad covers, but covers have been a staple of popular music for a long time.

POTUSA (Presidents of the United States of America) did a version as well - for the Wedding Singer soundtrack, IIRC...

OP - Alien Ant Farm did a smooth criminal cover like 6 years ago that was all over the radio... I assume you were talking about that one
