easier said than done, one, all the out of state schools i was looking at were going to be about $20,000 a semester. On top of that my parents make too much money for me to get any money, but at the same time they can't afford that. As for scholarships, U of A gave me a full ride. No one else really wanted to, Duke wanted 18k a semester, and UVA wanted 20k. Plus, being from Arizona (the worst state in the country when it comes to academics) and going to public school not even my 1380 SAT score could save me. I'm not b****ing about that, I just thought college should be, well hard. Above all, i'd think people came here to learn. As for wiki, it's not a primary source, even if it is sourced well (which is questionable). Essentially you are using a secondary source (at best) which doesn't make for good research. I'm not saying wiki isn't great for recreation, ie, looking up a formula, or learning about Higgs particle, it's just not something you cite in a paper, especially a research paper.
Dude, covalent bonds don't have improper sharing of electrons, they have unequal sharing of electrons.
The wiki hate comes from the fact it's peer edited. Anyone who signs up with them can edit content and post other inaccurate sites as their reference. I like to casually read at least one or two random wiki articles a day, but I'd never use that as my sole source for intellectual purposes.
The University of Arizona is a damn good school. It was good enough to get me into the grad school of my choice after I graduated.
Like the No Homework idea that they're trying to get a handful of school districts to consider... If anything its men that are getting lazy about their college education. Women are starting to carry men's behinds in enrollment & grades. And possibly participation.
what are you talkin about? looks pretty accurate to me....... http://images.google.com/imgres?img...ds&start=84&gbv=2&ndsp=21&svnum=10&hl=en&sa=N
I've seen two dudes in the past couple of days use the word "anyhoo/anywho" in a post. The feminization of men scares me more than another season of Rafer tear drops.
arizona state is dunno about UofA but then again one of the girls that tm1ym11 and i were talking to in vegas last time was from UofA and she was cute as hell too.
Currently i am sitting in between the two hottest deaf girls i've ever seen in my life. i wish i knew how to sign wanna grab coffee right about now.
Whisper to them that you want a threesome. ...or make the international sign for BJ. Edit: Just show then the gif.
I started talking to them, apparently they were just signing because they thought i was studying and didn't want to disturb me. I'd take a picture, but i'm not sure how inconspicuous i can be. Get back to you on that.
its ironic because you didn't display concise writing or the ability to create proper paragraphs in a rant about education.
I think a lot of the problem with this aspect is the fact that so many universities pay profs, first and foremost, to do research and/or publish. The fact that they actually teach classes on top of that is just gravy, if you will. So you'll get a lot of profs that know complex material very well, but who are terrible at actually teaching it, and consider teaching in general to be a waste of their valuable research time. They very seldom have teaching certificates as high school teachers are required to. At Marquette, one of the best profs I ever had left after 2 years because he wasn't a research/publish type of guy, he was there to teach. The school tried to pressure him into publishing more, so he got fed up with it and left. Boom... one of Marquette's best instructors is gone. This is why the quality of instruction and/or teaching ability can often be better in high school than college, because those teachers are there to teach, period. That is their only purpose. Teaching doesn't come in second to research.
Your knowledge is completely worthless if you can't effectively communicate it to others. Whatever profession you take up in this particular field, you're probably going to interact with product marketers, managers, research institute directors and college deans and provosts that couldn't give a flip about covalent bonds. So get. over. yourself.
I pay almost $1000 per course at UH. I pay that money to learn from the professor, as a student, not a teacher. I am not gonna do their job because they were too lazy to prepare for their lecture when every other aspect of his/her job is taken care of. I don't mind when they ask a question or two to see if anyone is informed on the subject, but when the class turns into a bunch of students rambling irrelevant crap that has nothing to do with the lesson plan or the test, I skip the class and study the notes my damn self.
Why do you feel the need to answer every question in front of the class? Can't you get the same satisfaction as answering it silently to yourself? Like a former boss once told me, "Shut the **** up, and sit the **** down."
