Why the obsession with Denver. Denver will only go down.

Their impressive run towards the end of last season was a fluke. The new coach brought some renewed discipline to the team. Now the feel-good factor has been worn out. They have a lot of talent, and that's the problem. Too many talented players with attitude and one wannabe franchise player who is young and immature and doesn't command the respect of his teammates. Melo has proven on a few occasions that he has the ego but not the heart and mental toughness to be a leader of a winning team. He is a quitter.

Denver is a fake. They will revert to their original state in the coming season.

Wow this post is potentially a ticket to a crow lunch.

They have a deep frontcourt that withstood injuries of Camby and Kmart during the season.

I'm a bit disappointed with KMart's performance given what they're paying for him, but Karl's uptempo style has been very good to the team. They have the depth to run and defend the transition.

I'm not a Melo fan either. Short of a teamwide implosion I think Karl has him under control.

KG's got about 4-5 years left on his contract. I don't see him coming to Houston when he becomes a free agent because I doubt that he would want to go to a team to ride some coattails, since by that time Yao and T-mac will have won 4-5 titles. :D

I figure he'll probably end up signing with whichever team Lebron is on, in order to give him some firepower. Now that would be a titanic battle.

I either see us either at 1. or 4., pretty much contingent on SA's play. They're team is pretty much exactly the same. They didn't lose any player, and but they only added another foreign player. big woop. We got younger and more athletic, and we're *hopefully* cleaning up our back court.

Any other team; mavs, suns, sonics, kings, lakers: we have an answer for all their stars. the only team I'm somehow worried about would be golden state, just the fact that we didn't get to see them at their fullest potential till the end of the season. with davis back in the mix, they will make a decent run against us, and of course davis will most likely light up our back court.

Best thing to anticipate is the how much the team chemistry has gotten better, yao's rest, and our addition to swift. we can ONLY go up. (which means 4, or 1) With the improvement on team chemistry alone, we shouldn't have such an atrocious start. 16-0 has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? ;)

Since nothing has been signed yet and nothing is certain re team rosters, I would say it's pretty much the same as this year's.

Only one thing certain, Duncan, Ginobili and Parker are signed until 2008 or later. It means one thing, dynasty!

For Phoenix, we got to see first how they react their playoff loss. Their defensive adjustments and maturity. They're detinitely behind Spurs.

Dallas - they're doomed to lose. Complaining and acting to win have no room in the NBA. they're babies.

And yes, Houston, I see better results.

The rest of the spot is up4grabs.
