Rank these players as if the Rox are drafting one of them

What about Kavaliauskas in the 2nd round? He is a pretty good athlete, good rebounder and still has some upside to him.

 

We don't have a 2nd rounder, and he probaly won't drafted anyway. I really like Pompii(sp?), he'd be a good kid to sign as a rookie free agent, and to stash in the d-league for a couple of years. Looks like a defensive stopper who has the tools to be a pretty good shooter one day.

 

After seeing NC play today, I am screaming for Hansborough on the Rockets. Mmm...him or Fazekas would make my day.

 

hansbrough would be good. i think we need to look for a type of PF who can play good defense, rebound the ball, provide energy, and can block shot from the weak side.

 

take it from an Aggie that's seen Pompey play over the last few years - he's NOT a JVG player.

i'm obviously upset about last night, but i'm glad that the Acie Law showcase is over, so that maybe prospects will bump Acie down into Houston's draft range.

we will likely have a pick around #26-27. right now, mock drafts have Acie going around #11.
- hopefully Nevada, Florida, Carolina, and UCLA go far (bumping up Fazekas, Horford, Thornton, Joakim, Taurean, Corey Brewer, Brandan Wright, Hansbrough, Lawson, and Afflalo)
- hopefully tonight's games make stars out of Jeff Green, Roy Hibbert, and Derrick Byars
- hopefully Kansas makes it to the Final Four, with Rush, Julian Wright, and Chalmers all deciding to come out
- hopefully OSU wins it all, leading to Oden, Lewis, and Conley all coming out

by my calculations, the lowest Acie will go is probably #15. the question is, what do the Rockets have to offer to trade up to pick him?

 

Kavilauskas and Pompey? Yall serious? They arent getting drafted. Some idiot might take AK. But I doubt it.

 

Another Chinese prospect, 6'9 point guard Sun Yue. Currently projected at 55th on nbadraft.net.

 

I don't think Yi is gonna end up in houston, he's a very talented player and will be drafted before houston's turn comes. And i don't know much about others, but whoever is gonna end up in houston, hope he'll contribute a lot to the team.

 

Tiago Splitter, Rudy Fernandez, Morris Almond, and Derrick Byers are looking like the guys who might be there when the Rocks draft.

If the Rocks can somwhow acquire a 2nd rounder either Brad Newley, Glen Davis, or Jared Jordan would be worth a gamble.

My prediction on Fazekas is he'll be a 2nd round pick who'll last a single season in the NBA.

 

Morris Almond...Marcus Williams...Thaddeus Young...Acie Law.....those guys would shore up our backcourt.
