Putting Demarcus Cousins has number one is plain ridiculous... if was better than Dwight then his impact would at least have the kings in the playoffs. Stop over rating him his offense is great but his impact on the game needs to really improve over 82 games.

    Joakim Noah
    Dwight Howard
    Demarcus Cousins
    Marc Gasol
Roy Hibbert (so far he was beast on defensive end)

    Dwight
    Cousins
    Noah
    Gasol
    Jefferson

Marc Gasol is a good player who does a lot of good things (and I would want him on my team!), but the general NBA writer fawning over his underratedness is a bit overblown. Being a nifty high post player does not excuse averaging under 8 boards for an elite center.

A very good take. Thumbs up, even if I am not convinced you are right.

I read this post without seeing the poster's name, but it only took me 1 guess to know who wrote it.

I saw a post with tiers. If we were doing tiers I would literally have no player in the top tier. Olajuwon, Shaq, Ewing, Jabbar, Duncan - those guys were 1st tier. There's nobody like that right now. Davis has the potential but he's not even starting at center right now.

    1. Joakim Noah: the man does it all: pass, rebound, defend, and still isn't piss poor on offense
    2. Dwight: of course
    3. Marc Gasol: similar to Noah, can really run an offense
    4. Boogie: BOOGIE!
    5. Jefferson: best offensive center in the game

***Anthony Davis is a PF y'all

Hibbert is rich Thabeet...or tall Lin..such a disappointment

Bosh easily #3 or 4 best center

D12 the best Center nowadays, won't make top 5 in the 90s

Noah actually is piss poor on offense.

He hasn't average over 12.6 ppg ever.
He hasn't shot over 50% since 2011-2012 season.
He has very few post moves.

I mean Dwight is fairly a limited offensive player, but he at least has some go to post moves (the baseline spin, the left hook). Noah has none of that. If you were to ever have a gameplan that consisted of feed Noah repeatedly in the post, it wouldn't turn out that well.

I get that he is a real good high post player and creative passer in that sense. I think that is a somewhat overrated skill. Just like PGs that are great rebounders. Yes... a DEFINITE PLUS... but not priority #1.

In short, I think it's ludicrous to have Noah as the #1 center in the league.

Side Show Bob is a top 5 as we speak. How could you forget Robin Lopez?

Marc is a system defender on a team where everyone plays very good defense. At his best, he's not better than Hibbert at his best --- just more consistent. Memphis is a regular season team that won't scare anyone in the playoffs, they scrap and hustle, but Gasol isn't capable of dominating. he's a cute little pick for journalists who don't get basketball to feel like they've found a diamond in the rough. I'm happy he won dpoy a few years ago, but we can see his limitations. get 14 ppg, don't worry about rebounding, just box out and clog the lane. you fellas look for all the wrong things when watching games, glad i could educate you.

This is complete BS, even comparing him to Hibbert shows you know nothing about his game.

Marc Gasol doesn't even need to be at his best to be better than Hibbert

I'm comparing him to another center.. I could compare him to Noah, a more similar player, but I don't think that highly of Noah either.

This is about dominant big men.
