    1. Anthony Davis

    2. Dwight Howard

    3. DeMarcus Cousins

    4. Nikola Vucevic

    5. Roy Hibbert

Cousins close to that #2 spot... though being on a terrible team that throws him the ball all the time helps.

Dwight's defense is underrated-- he's capable of stepping it up in the playoffs.

AD puts up big stat lines but not sure if he'll ever be in a 2nd tier defensive category with Mutombo, Robinson... first would be Russell, Hakeem. More of a roaming big, which works out well in the regular season.

    In no particular order:

    1st tier
    Demarcus Cousins
    Dwight Howard
    Marc Gasol
    Joakim Noah
    *Anthony Davis

    2nd tier
    Andre Drummond
    Nikola Vucevic
    Deandre Jordan
    **Pau Gasol

*I'm pretty sure AD spends most of the time at the 4 with Asik at the 5. When Asik sits, Ryan Anderson is then the 4 with AD at the 5.

*When he's in there with Noah, he's the 4. When Noah sits, and Mirocic or Gibson come in, Gasol is then the 5.

    I would go,

Dwight, Marc Gasol, Noah and Cousins. And maybe Brook Lopez

    Anthony Davis is a 4.

if davis is a 4, that makes the center position pretty boring. i read he played half his minutes there last year, before asik came around.

not impressed with noah and gasol anymore. defense is scrappy and system based, not defenders who can hold their own without it. O V E R R A T E D.

hibbert has been forgotten due to disappearing in the playoffs last year, but he'll have a come back and vucevic is the most underrated big in the league. very strong back to basket game in addition to being skilled offensively.

    my 5 would be
    1. dwight
    2. marc
    3. demarcus
    4. jefferson
    5. noah

hibbert has no place on this list after his performance down the stretch last year, and although he has been solid to start the year, his stats from yesterday's game (a loss to the wizards in OT by 2 were: 0/7 shooting 2 pts 9 reb. No way I can put him in the top 5 until he plays consistently.

    M. Gasol is so terribly underrated, guess if he was black he'd be #1 or #2 on every list.

    Gasol
    Dwight
    Boogie
    Noah

Yeah, Gasol is criminally underrated. It's a wonder the grizzlies win any games at all.

Gasol, like Mike Conley, are five skill players, when most players in the league are two skill players at best, and scoring, for both of them, is no better than 3rd or 4th on their list of concerns.

That's partly why Kyrie can't win even with Lebron, because all he does is score: translation, a one skill player.

Dwight is possibly a 3 and 1/2 skill player, scoring I give him a half, and he gets no points for his passing ability.

Things that Marc can do better than Dwight: he can create space: he has a 17 foot jumper that dwight can only dream of having. He is an accomplished passer, which dwight is not. He is not a liability on the free throw line, dwight is - hack-a-dwight. And he can clog the lane and play defense as good or better than dwight.

dwight is more athletic than marc and he is more selfish in terms of looking to score.

Frankly, there is not a center in the league that can shoot and play defense like Marc.

    Top 4:

    Dwight
    Gasol
    Noah
    Jefferson

    Honorable mention: Drummond

I'm not near as high on Boogie as everyone else is. He gets points and rebounds, but is poor in every other facet and his impact on winning or losing is negligible.

This is assuming Duncan, Davis, and Bosh are PFs

Cousins has looked insanely good... I wish Dwight had his 10 foot jumper.

Davis played about 40% of his minutes at C last year, but for his career, he's played 75% PF. This year he's played more SF than C, according to BasketballRefence.

Any top five that leaves out Jefferson is baffling

Lol @ Gasol not being in the top 5. Did you see the way Memphis played when he was out in comparison to the way they played when he came back? Anyways:

    -D12
    -Boogie Cousins
    -Marc Gasol
    -Big Al
    -Noah

    Dwight
    Demarcus
    Marc Gasol
    Big Al
    Joakim Noah

I know people like to trash about Dwight, but he effects the games in so many ways that don't show up in the stat sheet. He intimidates, he draws double teams before the catch, he gets teams in the penalty so Harden can do lots of damage. Nobody sags off of Dwight.

And Parsons is overrated. I think Marc is so underrated because he plays in Memphis.

They get no love. I mean they are undefeated too like us but no one is talking about it.
