I love Ron Curry, I wish the Texans could steal him away. He could also play some point gaurd for the Rockets.

Woodson is a chump as evident by the agents he employees, but he's still hands down the best tackling corner in the league and impressive in coverage. Even so I don't think he's worth 10 million dollars a year when guys like Samari Rolle are out there for much cheaper

Al Davis has long been known to put stock in proven players rather than the draft, where he has made a lot of mistakes. He saw the chance to get the best WR in the league instead of go with uncertainty, I don't blame him.

Harris is a good LB who had an off year due to a knee injury at the beginning of the season, I think he will a great player and I'm sorry he's leaving. We do have a nice young group of guys at LB though, Danny Clark proved to be the best signing last year with is play.

As the resident Vikings fan, i am really not sure

after watching Burleson (and Wiggins) and the offense when Moss was out this year i think the offense will certainly take a big hit but if we could add another receiver then that would help

and the defense where do i start right now we have 4 players that are good enough Winfield, Udeze, Kevin Williams and Claiborne

the rest are either crap, flashes in the pan, too young have potential but are yet to deliver

so Harris would be nice and then if they went after Rolle in free agency and then 2 more defenders in the 1st round that would be a great start

the other key is picking which of the running back we want to keep, out of Bennett, Onterio Smith and Mwelde Moore and then trading at least one away for either another reciever or another defensive starter.....

so still not sure, i don't live in Minnesota and been australian have less morals, so mostly find Moss' antics amusing more than anything else (except the not playing and walk off this year) so have been amazingly entertained over the year by his on field performances... he has that wow factor and no matter how he is playing always attracts 2 defenders.... which helps the rest of the offense

I am a huge Viking fan (from the Allan Page and Fran Tarkenton days) --- I hate this trade.

Real difference makers are rare in the league and Randy Moss is a difference maker. The Raiders just got a lot better!!!!

Randy Moss belongs in Oakland. He is a 21st Century NFL rebel, perfectly suited for the Silver and Black. The question I have is...how will the Raiders go about obtaining a QB that can actually get the ball to Moss?

As a Raiders fan, I am thrilled. Moss is just what we need. Harris has been Ok but nothing special. He does have some potential but nothing like Moss. I do this deal in a heartbeat and dont look back. How often does arguably the best WR in the league come up for trade? This gives us one of the best WR cores in the league-Moss and Porter are very good and Gabriel and Curry improved last season as well.

I am not thrilled about Woodson being on the block, but understand his agent sucks.
If they manage to keep him (or get Rolle) they will be much improved from last year.

Now if only we can get a running back.....

    The Vikings got raped.

They should have tried to start a bidding war b/t the Ravens, Jets and Raiders.

Oakland got a steal. 2 first rounders should have been a prereq for ANY Moss trade.

GREAT! I was going to cancel that NFL Sunday Ticket thing and now I have to reconsider.

For the Vikings... Well, at least they're getting a new owner and this is the last horrible decision McCombs will make. Good luck with Mike Tice!

For the Raiders... They are officially back. Doesn't really matter who the quarterback is, anyone who has followed the Vikings knows that Moss has had a lot of great games with guys like Gus Ferrotte and Todd Bouman playing QB Kerry Collins should be fine. Didn't watch the Raiders much last season, is Gallery a good LT? They'll need one. Their running backs aren't all that but Moss should make it easier on them. Defensively. If the offense becomes a top three offense like they should their best defense will be their offense, they can lead the league in take aways because opposing teams will have to force things to keep up.

Kerry Collins is the perfect QB to get the ball to Moss also. I don't know if the Vikings got robbed but I think they should have gotten a DB. The only defensive positions that bring the value to your team that Moss does are shut down corners and pass rushing ends.

This year we will see what Culpepper is made of.

Collins throws the deep ball as well as anyone in the league, He's erratic at times, but I don't see him having too much trouble spreading the ball around especially with this kind of talent in the receiving corps.
Hopefully Moss and Porter will mesh and egos won't collide. This is like having Rice and Brown in their primes, incredible.

Scary - On a Raiders board I frequent, a large amount of people already think LaMont Jordan is a lock to be our starter next year, Al has been trying to trade for him for 2 seasons, I believe he's a FA now and we're the front runners. Better get something while we can, the market is already getting thin.

Getting LaMont would be great. I am just sick of watching Wheat run for 2 yards and Fargas getting hit in the backfield. I think Crockett was our best back last year but didnt get many carries.
I have heard a few rumors too (P. Buchanon for the rights to R. Williams) (C. Wood for whoever) but Jordan seems like the best choice. I think the offense will look pretty good with Jordans addition.
The defense however will continue to suck unless we find a way to get pressure on the QB and ship out "Big Play" Ray Buchanon. He is killing us in the secondary.
