He also gave Demeco a much deserved raise as well. I almost think he has been burned so often with FAgent signing that he freaks out and rather not make moves like that. Moss is on his last leg but with a good QB he could still produce good number. Would he even consider going back to Minnesota?
Best WR in the league. He earned his raise. I like when players like him and demeco, or Lowry and Scola get their due. I hate when they give players an unwarranted raise.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, How about Moss lining up opposite Andre next year????? Dawg! I could rush for 2000 yards with those guys on the field.
Moss and Dre (Texans-matt schaub 2011) vs. Ochocinco and Owens (Bengals-carson palmer 2010) Who wins? I say moss and dre
No doubt, he earned it and I'm glad he got it. I'm just saying it wasn't a long time coming, he had only played 2 years into his previous deal. Like Mcnair, I want Dre' to be our first HOF'er.
That is not even comparable. The Bengals have a top 10 receiver and and old Owens who was never in the same class as Moss. Andre and Moss are 2 of the 3 best receivers in the NFL right now. Moss has not gotten bad with age like Owens.
If he feels unwanted I know a few things I can do to him thatll make him never want to leave Houston...
owens and moss stats are almost identical the last 4 years combined, moss has about 4 or 5 more total touchdowns over the last 4 seasons. and owens is 3 years older then moss. i think owens has held up very well for his age.
I like how players always equate "no extension = not wanted." I think teams should start doing this as well. "We gave him a 3 year extension, but he has played like crap. He obviously doesn't want to be here. We feel no love from the guy. We worked out butt off giving him tons of money, but that love hasn't been reciprocated. Instead he's been showing his love to showing up fat and lazy." Wouldn't that make him stupid rather than cheap? When the Rockets kept wasting money on horrible FAs, Les simply decided to bring in a guy who could stop the trend. Now, I'm not expecting McNair to fire his staff, who are obviously nice at finding college talent. But shouldn't he be trying to bring in talent evaluators excel in free agent signings? As the owner of one of the richest teams in the NFL, McNair certainly should have the money that allows the Texans to evaluate players on other teams almost as well as their own players. I feel like the Texans aren't pursuing free agents because they simply don't have enough data to make a good projection on how that player will play on the team. But due to their aversion to other teams' players, they also restrict themselves in terms of upgrading talent.
