The lottery changes actually help guys like giddy have value actually. Before, I would say he was a negative value contract and he’s certainly completely worthless to the rockets but to teams like the bulls or kings or pelicans he’s ok now because winning 30 games isn’t a death sentence. If the trade was sengun for the 4th pick plus filler trash (giddy or whatever) it would be possibly worth considering. Obviously adding any picks is absurd.

In the trade we would be getting 2 picks in the 26 draft one is which is top 4 and giving up 4 picks that most likely will be mid-level in two significantly worse drafts, so not absurd, but maybe an overpay. Depends on how high you value Giddey and Caleb or Boozer who might make it to 4. There is no one in the 27 draft of that calibre. Chicago is re-building from scratch and Giddey is their most valuable player and a very good fit for the Rockets. They aren’t going to give up those 26 picks and Giddey just for Sengun (much more absurd).

We have zero need for giddy, he’s worth nothing. Your hatred for sengun is just weird at this point, you basically treat him like hlm does and he’s just a troll. Don’t be like that.

@Hemingway might be the most re t arded poster I’ve seen on this site with these proposals he’s coming up with. Has to be trolling.

I don’t hate Sengun at all, but I think he is a bad fit with Amen and we should trade him if we can get a top pick in this draft. I’ve said many times, trade him if you can get an appropriate return, keep him if not. You may value him more highly than a top 4 pick, I do not. Lots of people throw the hate bs around. Don’t be like that. Giddy is damn good and plays a position of need for this team.

But you are not just trading sengun for a top 4 pick. You are trading sengun and FOUR firsts for exactly the 4th pick. Giddy only has value for teams trying to get into the 30-40 win range, he has no value if you are trying to do anything in the playoffs. I’m not a sengun guy at all, have argued against him at every turn, but there’s still a line.

We just value Giddey and Sengun differently. You’re also ignoring the 15th pick and Jalen Smith, which is disingenuous, to try and make me look like a fool. I value the 2 picks in this draft more than the 4 picks I’m giving up and by a lot. If we could make the trade with 3 picks, obviously that would be better.

If i was the nets for example and i had no need to tank, i would take on giddey for a 2nd rounder/salary filler. I don’t care about smith, yes, no argument there. You are valuing sengun as a MASSIVE negative contract, in the vain of what say beal was before he got cut.

for me, Sengun is worth trading for a high lotto pick in this draft, but I’d probably want a little more if it’s outside the top 3.

Ya sure, I’d definitely trade him straight up for picks 1-3.

It’s definitely hard to tell if you’re trolling or not or just “having fun” with some of these “proposals” but you don’t really have a history so his comment is outa bounds.

The trade should be KD for Fox and 3 future first rounders. But not the spurs picks. I want the timber wolves and hawks picks that they own.

I love the idea of flipping Steve to a team in need of a veteran big.
Washington and Champagnie seems a no-brainer. [I doubt they give up Carrington].

I also wonder about the possibility of including OKC [who have interest in Champagnie]. Steve-O to Wash; Champagnie to OKC and Wiggins to Hou (plus 2rp/s from OKC)
We get a 2 way (full sized) guard (who can shoot) off the bench.
OKC shaves a bit of payroll, and can now duck the 2nd apron much more easily (so they can combine salaries in future moves).

Jabari also is the lowest IQ player on the team by a healthy margin. He plays smaller than his height, disappears in big moments and single handedly created the cascade of brain farts that lost us Game 3 against the Lakers. He’s overrated as a perimeter defender and a shooter. You don’t toss him aside for trash, but he’s the epitome of a player you use to get better.
