Like it. I hope they have already reached out to the Pelicans about Alvarado. He would be great insurance for Reed and FVV. Holiday is term insurance from a Belarus company. Alvarado is whole life insurance from Prudential.
I think it is very unlikely we do anything more this year, unless it’s a vet minimum guy for Nate. If Reed sh*ts the bed (unlikely), we might do something with Reed and Tari and draft picks if needed. Do any of the other guys become trade eligible at the deadline?
I believe everyone is trade eligible at the deadline, except poison pills, which will make it difficult to move the guys that sign extensions.
In case the Rockets can't fit Tari and Durant under the 2nd apron next season, the Rockets would likely move Tari. Looking at small salaries, Keon Ellis and Toumani Camara are the big names I see. Ellis would need more money next season so he has the same problem as Tari, and I'd rather have Tari. I'd be for a Toumani for Tari trade with draft picks compensation as needed to even out the deal. Toumani isn't as disruptive as Tari, but is better at the POA. Toumani may be a better fit with the starting lineup as he seems to be able to guard down better than the Rocket forwards (Amen excluded). Toumani hit his threes last season, and has been improving as a shooter since he was a freshman 6 years ago.
