So we’re trading KD for Kyrie who is not playing this year. Now we’ll be paying two pg’s 60 million this year to not play all while recovering from ACL tears? Amazing trade idea!!

No sh*t Sherlock. It is the only reason GSW would make this trade (neither team would anyway, it was just for fun). As I have explained a million times, I don’t think we can win a championship with Ime as coach and Durant is a poor fit for this team. I would rather spend this year and probably next developing our young roster and adding more youth than being mediocre with Durant and Ime. Butler is there for salary matching and would probably never set foot on the floor as a Rocket. I also contend that the full roster would be better and more balanced:

    Amen, Melton
    Sheppard, Okogie
    Moody, DFS
    Jabari, Horford
    Sengun, Horford, Capella

You added 3 good 3 pt shooters, a backup Pg, a backup Center and got better on defense.
In 27 we add a 26 potential lottery pick, if Durant, Draymond, or Curry gets hurt.

    My PG targets:

Houston In: Davion Mitchell (plays defense, shoots the 3 well and a decent passer)
Miami In: Tari, Sheppard and a protected 1st (Tari likely signing elsewhere, Sheppard and the first rounder are good trade pieces Miami can swing when they trade for Giannis).

Houston In: Trey Murphy III (not really a PG but a great/quick shooter next to Sengun and KD)
NOLA In: DFS, Capela and Tari (Can add a protected pick but who knows what NOLA will accept)

Houston In: Colin Sexton and Pat Connaughton
    Charlotte In: Tari and DFS

Houston In: Scoot Henderson (currently injured but likely to be back this year)
Portland In: DFS, Tari and 1st Rounder (Portland is playing well without Henderson...bringing him back may hurt their Chemistry)

The first one is the only reasonable one and I would do it. NOLA isn’t giving up Trey for that poo platter. We lose the Charlotte trade. Scoot hasn’t been good. Maybe for Tari straight up since we are going to lose him anyway. LOL giving up a FRP for him.

I find it crazy that there are fans like yourself that don't seem to enjoy any sort of success short of a championship. We been championship contenders for maybe 4 times in the last 30 years:
    • 1997-1998 team that lost in WCF
    • 2008-2009 team that lost in the 2nd round
    • 2017-2018 team that lost in WCF
    • 2018-2019 team that lost in the 2nd round (arguable)
I wouldn't be able to be that kind of fan, would be absolutely miserable. Sorry if I'm misreading you hear but the way you are willing to trade away this year since we are unlikely contenders is mind boggling to me. Here I am hoping for a tweak to the roster while you are looking at a slight overhaul lol.

Very glad you are not the GM.

According to this, Davion Mitchell and Scoot Henderson are All Star level players.

Trey Murphy can be had for pennies.

I don’t think we get demonstrably worse by punting on the Durant experiment. I would still enjoy watching our young core progress and think we still make at least play-in and maybe better depending on the roster adjustments. In my opinion, trying to build around Durant with Ime as coach makes us mediocre for longer.
