Yeah. We need shooting so let's trade away two of our best shooters for guys that can't shoot. I'd love to have Ausur, but Jabari is the perfect PF now that Amen is in the starting line-up where he belonged all year.

I think we would just be trading offense for defense. I love all 4 of those guys so I wouldn't be completely upset but I think we need Cam and Jabari's offense (especially 3 pt shooting) more than we need Thompson and Duren's defense.

    Duren is a bad defender.

Well then I completely misunderstood Durens existence. I thought that was what he was all about. Pass completely then. (Though I think Udoka could make Duren a good defender if he wanted.)

Absolutely agree with this because Durant has a clock that is ticking on PHX doing this Butler deal. If you want this to happen we need to sabotage PHX's plans. They may hold onto Durant and know our plans. We need to leave them NO alternative. Each of their 1st we hold are worth MORE than 2 1sts from someone else. Financially Durant for Brooks will not work with the CBA 2nd apron limitations. FVV can get us Durant and Tyus.

If we win this Boston game this is further proof why we need to do these trades NOW. We have a championship team not tomorrow, NOW. We have done it without any stars. We know what we have now. We can strike now AND continue our future plans. 3 2s Brooks and expirings can get Butler. FVV and 2027 PHX 1st and our 2028 pick can get Durant after Butler. Keep PHX 2025, 2029, Brooklyn 2027 and all of our kids and watch them continue to grow before our eyes.

I am so damn proud of this team and these young men.

I don't think he's a bad defender. He's an inconsistent defender. Sometimes he looks great, sometimes he looks terrible. Dude literally just turned 21, he's younger than anybody in our core except Cam and Reed. It's to be expected.

Stylistically I'm not in on Butler, I'm only in on someone who can hit like 40% on 6+ 3PA. It has to be an excellent volume and efficiency on jumpers for me to be on board honestly otherwise we're not doing it thoughtfully. I want someone who takes the type of shots our young guys should take less of. Butler takes the kind of shots I want Green and Amen taking. Durant takes shots that no one is excellent at making so he's not "stealing" shots if you know what I mean.

Durant would have been perfect at this moment , even with his age he's amazing ..it's only for 2 years and then he gonna be phrased out

2 years after this one. I count this season as half a shot at a title cause you never know if chemistry will take 1 month or 3 months.

I think KD could easily be integrated into the Rockets if he suddenly became available within the week and the Rockets traded for him. He's a vet at this point and he would not have to play the heavy minutes here that he plays in Phoenix. If anything, we would need him more for the 4th quarter breakdowns that we tend to have and when we need a shot.

I was anti-Durant earlier this season, but if he suddenly became available and the Rockets swung for the fences, as long as we didn't give up the world for him, I would love it. He could easily play small ball 5 for us, as well as start in the line up with Sengun, Amen, Jalen, and FVV.

I have also gone from completely against it maybe being open to it. I doubt you'd get him without giving back all their picks plus multiple young guys though. What's a reasonable trade?

Yup agree with you. The emergence of Jalen and Amen is the big game changer for me. If they weren't doing so well I would have preferred to remain patient till next season. Or to go for someone younger to give time for the young guys to emerge. As things stand though, our core trio are all about 2 years away from their primes. Perfect time to fortify them temporarily.

I think the only thing we need to go from a top 6 NBA team to a top 2 NBA team is Durant for Brooks and picks. Hired assassin can do his damage individually or with the team, just like when he joined the Warriors.

I would for us to get KD, but it ain't happening...the Suns are starting to play good basketball. They're keeping Booker and KD.
With the emergence of Amen, I would prefer to trade Dillon Brooks/expiring contracts/Suns 1st round pick (this year) for:
    Cam Johnson/D.Lo
We could use another backup pg going into the playoffs...Cam Johnson would solidfy our bench and our starting lineup would be nasty:
    Sengun
    Jabari
    Amen
    Jalen
    FVV

    Option #1 (2 part):
Part 1 - FVV + 2025 FRP + 2029 FRP (swap) to PHX for Durant
    Part 2 - 3 teams: DET - HOU - PHX
DET: Landale or Tate (HOU) + HOU SRP
PHX: 2 SRPs + Klintman (DET)
    HOU: Tyus Jones (PHX)

    Option #2:
Brooks + Adams + Tate + 2025 FRP + 2029 FRP (swap) to PHX for Durant + (Bol Bol?)

I don't think the suns take anything like that, or even consider it really. All that offer really includes is their 25 pick, which isn't gonna be that good, and one swap, plus filler. I think any actual trade would hurt a lot more than that.

Could be... I was saying what I would do. The Suns don't have much leverage. That being said, if Rox don't intercede, I think the Suns get Jimmy and move Nurkic for depth pieces.

It will probably be more, but I wouldn't do it that cost of a Cam, Shep, or Tari. I would turn the 2027 pick into a swap at max (along with 2025 & 2029).

That being said, I trust Stone on this and I honestly think the Suns are angling to get Jimmy and swap out Nurkic's deal. Then look for some players on buyout. I think the buyout angle was always there. The poor play forces the move for Jimmy and trading Nurk. Their CEO was proud of acquiring Beal & Nurkic = now he has to admit failure.
