Giannis will be an obvious target. How has Myles Turner been lately? I could see some allure in swapping him out for Jabari.
I just don't think I want Giannis on the back half of his career, especially for the price it would take. Hard to be picky with superstars, but I think Giannis and his game aren't going to age well
Couldn't agree more, his defense has already slipped massively which is a big part of their struggles.
Right now I think the only superstars potentially on the market are Giannis and Jimmy Butler. It would take an astronomical haul to get someone like Giannis. Probably half of the young core and half if not more of our picks. Dont think JImmy would be worth as much. Imagine if we got both. Jimmy, Giannis, Amen and Tari would be amazing.
IIRC Pacers cannot even re-sign or extend Myles because of the extension he signed a couple of years ago... like he either rides out this season and walks to another team, Pacers have to clear cap space to sign him (doubtful), or they trade him. https://www.indystar.com/story/spor...sign-him-to-a-contract-extension/75367463007/ Plus with Nembhard's deal kicking in, I think Pacers are going to have a "distressed asset" in Turner. As Jackson is out for the year, one could probably hold their cards to see if Pacers think they are playoff contender or pretender. RN I am not even offering Bari... Adams + Cam + Tate + 2025 FRP OR Brooks + Cam + Adams for Myles. Just have to see where Pacers are headed (RN I think they are top 3 seed in East... but the East is TRASH RN)
He would only be 33 when his extension is up. I'd rather get Booker in a couple of years, but if they would not pass up a reasonable deal for Giannis.
We can’t develop all 7 of our core prospects and we dont want to tank their value. does Bari, Tate and a protected 1st get us a good starter?
isn’t he hurt again? I get the immense talent and I wouldn’t discount the opportunity to add Zion, but confirmation on the medical, and the work habits would be essential. Availability is such an underrated factor when making a big trade for a star.
They're .500. He is still averaging 17pts. No way they're giving him away. Better chance at getting Jarace Walker.
One thing that's interesting about Zion is that his contract is no longer guaranteed. Minimizes risk. https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/...ion-williamsons-contract-no-longer-guaranteed
That’s nice but the risk is what we give away to get him. Even with his lack luster performance so far his is a number 1 pick who is a genetic freak (in a good way) I think it would take at least amen or tari and cam 3 picks and salary filler. Trading for a star guts your team, only time you can get an ok deal is if the star only wants to be traded to your team and even then you need both teams to play ball (like dame to Miami).
Johnathan Isaac and Trae are two names I wish the rockets would keep their eyes on. When can Isaac be traded?
isaac is on a good contract too. I can’t imagine why Orlando would trade him. Looks to be over his injury issues as well. I love him, I covet him, but I won’t allow myself to believe we could get him. He’s very Tariish
Always wanted Lamelo. He has no help in Charlotte. Leads league in 4th quarter scoring and top 5 scorer overall. Of course can play make too. Let's get him
