i was reading this morning that Sac’s plan this offseason is to move off DeRozen and LaVine and go full rebuild. Why they didn’t start at the trade deadline I’ll never understand, but they are going to rebuild and give their newly signed coach a fresh start. I suspect Monk could also be had. Sac is definitely a potential trade partner this summer.
My concern with Monk is that his 3P% has been declining year-over-year for 5 years straight now. Granted, this is partly because his shot volume and offensive responsibilities have been increasing. But I do wonder whether he brings what we're looking for
Ok. FVV (expiring) Dillon, #10 for Lavine (2 years) Monk (3 years). Then trade Jalen and picks for 1 or 2 bench scorers. Naz or John Collins would work great.
Rumors are circulating that the Spurs may pass on Harper, If that's the case, I would do everything within reason in the team's power to jump to #3. 76ers have almost no need for Harper with Maxey. The question is who on this roster other than Amen/Sengun would be enticing to Morey. Does Jabari Smith Jr. / Cam Whitmore / #10 / 2027 Phoenix1st get you all the way to #3? Who are you willing to add on top of this package? Sheppard? Tari? All of the above? Harper could be a franchise game changer that the Rockets have been hunting for. He has size and IQ that would pair perfect with Amen/Sengun going forward to form a formidable big 3. Do you trade Jalen + #10 for #4 with Charlotte and then add Jabari or Tari to pick #4 to move up to #3?
1) Trade Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Cam Whitmore + 2 future picks for Jaylen Brown, Neemias Queta 2) Draft Kon Knueppel at #10, re-sign Adams, Uncle Jeff Sengun - Adams Jabari - Tari Amen - (Tari/Knueppel) J.Brown - Knueppel FVV - Sheppard Team gets a FMVP who plays both ends and clicks with Udoka. Assuming Reed is ready, we have improved shooting with him + Knueppel. Amen, Jabari and Tari all should take a step forward and continue to provide elite perimeter defense, along with JB. Also JB doesn't dominate the ball, which allows Amen to continue to develop as a playmaker/creator. JB may not be a quintessential #1 option like Giannis or KD, but do we really need one? We won 52 without a traditional #1 or #2 caliber option. If he gives us an efficient 25 and great defense/leadership, he's worth it, and his ability to play off-ball works well with Amen's development.
i know after Jalen’s playoff ******** of the bed that people want to write him off but you include JG to get a Jalen Brown not a Derrick White. Boston would probably jump at trading JG/CW for Derrick White (and that’s no shade to Derrick White i think he’s good).
Jalen and #10 for Poole and #6 On similar contracts but Poole expires a year earlier. Washington bets on the higher upside prospect and we get our microwave scorer + move up in the draft
Ya there's no chance in hell boston would do that, they're not stupid over there. Brown is a horrendous albatross, i'm not trading anything for him unless boston adds a ton of assets.
I got a trade for you! Rockets get Paul George and #3 Rockets get to move up and get another player of emphasis. Plus, Paul George is younger than KD and he can still score. Sengun Jabari George Jalen Thompson Philly get FVV, Cam and #10 Philly does it, because they don't need another guard but they do need a backup center to take pressure off Embiid. There are several centers in the #10 range and it allows they cap room to sign Quentin Grimes
I'm not sure. I would assume Bailey would as the logical choice if they actually do end up passing. I would love to add Brooks to that deal but I was thinking about potentially taking on George's albatross to move up to #3 as an option to get Harper here. I think it would likely take at least one probably two of Jalen/Jabari/Tari/Sheppard to move up to #3 (on top of FVV, Cam and #10) even while taking on George's contract. Harper would be the highest end prospect added during this rebuild, which is saying something.
Hahaha but WHEN healthy he plays defense and he can still score in late game situations. And if he gets hurt, we will still have Tari or Brooks as backups.
So if you were able to pull off the trade for #3 and the Spurs do draft Harper or trade down and someone else takes Harper, who do you take? Personally I would jump all over Ace, I think he has star potential similar to KD, but probably a step below.
For the Rockets, I would only trade up for Harper or as a trade piece for Giannis if the Bucks preferred a player at #3 vs what it would take to get that pick on the Rockets end. Flagg is in a tier of his own similar to like an AD/Zion level prospect just below a Wemby/LeBron level prospect. Harper is in a tier of his own similar to like a Cade / Paolo level prospect. Bailey is theoretically a much better fit for the Spurs and it's the only reason to take Bailey over Harper in my opinion. Drafting based on current roster needs that high is a bad idea and I doubt the Spurs end up doing it. It's like not bringing Mobley in for a workout because KPJ is on your roster.
