Random trade thought. Don't understand the hate for Green. Personally not a fan, but he is a good player. But believe he is not a fit with Udoka. Plus, the team won't give him a max contact. Let's move on. To PDX> Green + #3 To HOU> #7 + Duop Reath + Shaedon Sharpe. Big ? as to Sharpe's health. He had abdominal surgery in Feb. PDX viewed him as core player. If healthy he immediately becomes part of the Rockects future core. Reath is 27 and has had a long journey to reach the NBA. Had a productive rookie season. Becomes part of the front court rotation. Has a relentless motor. At 27 and his personal life experiences, has maturity and won't pout over lack of minutes. Moving Green gives Amen, Cam and Sharpe plenty of minutes to split. With #7 you try and find a shooter.

Houston Out: #3 Pick #44 pick Houston In: #10 pick (pick whoever is left of Cody Williams, Matas, D. Carter, Knecht, Castle) Kessler Lightly protected FRP (they have plenty of options) Utah probably says no
I like Kessler, but it's kind of the same problem as picking Clingan--where do his minutes come from?
I don't disagree at all. I'm not very high on Clingan and think he'll be reduced to a Kessler type of role anyways. I don't know if we plan to keep Adams (even though I LOVE having him as a backup) but Adams is a likely contract to use in a trade if we do make a trade. Kessler is a solid backup C. I think there's a solid 10 players in this draft without a huge difference on potential so it's really gaining another first round pick without really losing talent. I'd actually consider Cody or Matas at 3 in this particular draft if we can't aquire another decent frp to move down. Disclaimer, I didn't watch any of the games so my draft opinion isn't all that serious. I think having an extra future FRP could help us for when a star becomes available than any single player we draft this year while keeping flexibility

Rockets Out: #3, Brooks, Landale and Tate Rockets In: #31, Marcus Smart, Bruce Brown Jr. and a future Memphis 2nd Rounder Memphis In: #3, Landale and Tate Memphis Out: Marcus Smart, #9 Toronto In: #9, Brooks and GG Jackson Toronto Out: Bruce Brown Jr. Rocket trade in the #3 in a weak draft for two solid vets and a couple 2nd Rounders. Memphis acquires the #3 pick to pick Donavon Clingan to add to their core Toronto acquires a lottery, which they can combine with the #19 and possibly move up in the draft and get a young player in GG Jackson.
What if… They trade 3 and filler for smart and no 9 Then do a sign and trade of who they get at 9 and brooks for Paul George
Houston trades: Jalen Green #3 Pick 2026 BKN Pick Memphis Trades: Desmond Bane #9 Pick ( Knecht, Edey, Ware, whoever you want there)
https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...jounte-murray-trae-young-their-top-draft-pick Pelton: Scenario 2: Draft a center, keep both guards Hawks get: Forward Jeff Green, 2025 second-round pick (via more favorable of Boston and Memphis), 2026 second-round pick (via Houston), 2027 second-round pick (via Memphis) Houston Rockets get: Center Clint Capela Oklahoma City Thunder get: Center Steven Adams If the Hawks get a center like UConn's Donovan Clingan or French prospect Alex Sarr, dealing incumbent starter Capela with one year at $22.3 million remaining on his contract would be logical. Atlanta could turn the position over to the younger Onyeka Okongwu, who is just starting a four-year contract extension, plus the draft pick. Unlike Hunter, Capela would hold modest trade value at his salary. In this deal, I've sent him back to his original team (Houston) as an upgrade on Adams, who was acquired by the Rockets at the February trade deadline while injured as a backup to Alperen Sengun. To make this trade, Houston would have to guarantee Green's $8 million salary, while we reunite Adams with the team that drafted him (in 2013) while using cap space. The upshot would be the Hawks saving $14 million, enough to swallow the $8.5 million qualifying offer for injured restricted free agent Saddiq Bey without pushing into the tax. Still, this doesn't feel like a bold enough change for a franchise that hasn't achieved the expected results since pairing Murray with Young in the backcourt. So let's think bigger.

Random Trade #3 and Brooks OR #3 J Green, and filler (non core) OR #3 Brooks & Green (they send filler) ..for… K. George, W. Kessler, T. Hendricks & J. Clarkson(2 yr tradable filler) fills needs for today & tomorrow. When we quickly grow into ourselves, championships… A lot to ask from Danny Boy… BUT giving a lot too. window is and will remain tight because we can’t keep everyone as they come off rookie contracts.
They just have a Photoshop PDF with each logo in it ready for draft day. Accidentally left the Rockets' layer enabled.
