Forgot to mention, I used the CAO algorithm for this particular trade. You know, the Cheap Ass Owner factor that negates in big buyouts.

So pay John Wall to sit for 2 years or pay Russ less to leave AND get a potentially great FRP?

No one knows Russ will accept a buyout or a buyout lower than Wall. It's all speculation. Russ is an absolute mess right now and not sure a pick 5-6 years in the future is worth the headaches now.

While I would love a future pick (unprotected or light protections), acquiring Russ before literally led to the destruction of our team. Maybe it's that experience that has me hesitant. The trade I offered, gets Wall out of here, brings back an easy buyout or a solid big that can protect the rim (which we need) and a 2nd in 2023. Yes, it is geared more addressing the now because after this year, I hope we start to see more progress.

Nobody gives a rats ass what russ thinks or wants at this point. You just tell him to stay home, easy. If he doesn’t want a buyout, cool, just wait till the deal expires. There is no way he would actually play.

or expand it even more (see italics)

    Rockets Out: John Wall, Wood

Rockets should go to Grizzlies and say you can have EG for your Lakers first this year plus salary filler.

When they say no, say "no problem, we're trading EG and Wall to the Lakers then for Westbrook, filler and picks... good luck meeting them in the playoffs while also seeing the value of that pick plummet!"

I don't think Grizzlies are that worried. Still getting a solid first round pick regardless and they are in playoffs.

Wall/Wood/Gordon 1st for Simmons and Tobias.

    Wall
    Maxey
    Thybulle
    Wood
    Embiid

    Bench: Curry/Gordon/Drummond/Niang/Korkmaz

You could start Curry and bring Maxey off the bench also...or even bring Wall off the bench to start and see how it goes. I think this Sixers team can win the title with Brooklyn's problems they have. Then as we move forward:

    Simmons/KPJ
    Green/Christopher
    Tate/Mathews
    Tobias/Martin
    Sengun

Add our 1st, plus Nets and we are a play in team next season. You could always attache harris with a pick to dump his salary as well.

    Trade 1
Houston out: Gordon, Armoni, bucks 23 1st,
Houston in: Anderson, Culver, gsw 24 1st

Memphis out: Anderson, Culver, gsw 24 1st
Memphis in: Gordon, armoni, bucks 23 1st

Memphis outlook: upgrade the wing position and grab a vet under 2 yesrs of control to help for the playoffs. Lose their gsw 1st but acquire a 1st in return to offset.

Houston outlook: cash in on Gordon and acquire salary relief in the the Anderson contract and salary filler in culver. Gain a higher end lottery ticket in the gsw 1st for the Milwaukee 1st.

    Trade 2
    Houston out: Wood, porter jr
    Houston in: plumlee, Washington

Charlotte out: plumlee, Washington, CHA 22 1st, NOP 22 1st,
    Charlotte in: Wood, porter jr

Charlotte outlook: gets an all star level talent to add to their core in the frontxourt where they could use the help. Also acquire a flyer in porter.

Houston outlook: cashes in on wood and takes a flyer on Washington. Adds 2 good assets to the treasure trove.
