random stupid comments from people that you don't know

You should have said : Chances are pretty good that if I continue to smoke, I'll get lung cancer and die, but you are fat and have a bad haircut so I'm going to tell people on the internet. w****!" and then ran like hell.

 

Meh. I could care less about a comment about my smoking. I'd probably blow it off.

What does piss me off is when I'm in an area I can smoke, and someone comes over and asks me to stop or move. Those people I will get into an argument with.

It's happened about a dozen times. I've never moved or quit after my, ahem, discussion with them.

 

I guess you've never sat next to one on a plane.

No. But regardless of what I may say, nothing is ever grounds to put $1,000 of damage to a car.

If anything you think justifies it, you are wrong.

I agree. When he first said it, I took no offense and replied politely. When he repeated it, it incensed me. The funny thing was that his adding the word 'please' the second time round made it worse. Sometimes, 'please' makes things less polite. I'm sure he had his heart in the right place concerning the well-being of my daughter, but not in paying me respect.
