I'm starting this thread for the fantasy speculators out there like me. Similiar to the Houston Rockets Trade Idea Thread, This is for all other teams in the Association. So if your bored with houston trade ideas, try this one out for size. Enjoy.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=akt24ok OKC Out: Perkins, Tor 1st OKC In: Varejao Cleveland Out: Varejao Cleveland In: Perkins, Tor 1st OKC Outlook: they get rid of perks horrid contract and gain a very solid varejao... although they lose that coveted tor 1st... Cleveland Outlook: they sell while the market is at its highest and gain that valued tor 1st while taking on perks crap contract...
This is for the off-season if Miami doesn't win the title and rather than risk the chance of possibly losing Lebron James for nothing the following year. How about bringing LBJ to the Clippers to play with CP3 in LA: Trade Proposal: Blake Griffin, Caron Butler (will be an expiring contract), Eric Bledsoe, and a future pick for LBJ... http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=d8vrml9 Jordan LBJ Barnes Crawford CP3 Clippers can play LBJ at powerforward and pair him with a shot blocker...
Rockets trade Pat Patterson and a 2nd rounder for a later 2nd rounder to some team. Then play Greg Smith, DMo and TJones all day. Addition by subtraction.
Kevin Durant, TOR 1st, CHA 2nd for Rudy Gay. OKC gets a step closer to a title by adding a coveted superstar like Rudy Gay.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=brs4t5r The Bulls get rid of dead weight Derrick Rose, who averages just 0 PPG across 0 GP this season, in exchange for a true, proven superstar in OJ Mayo and cap relief in the Kaman expiring.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cwpxq4w The Heat get rid of an awful 44% three point shooter and therefore poor player in LeBron James, because focusing on one stat when evaluating the totality of a player's talent is pretty smart and not at all the dumbest thing in the world. In exchange, they get a great 51% three point shooter and therefore better player in OJ Mayo. The Kaman expiring helps make the salaries match, with promising young talent Roddy Beaubois as a sweetener.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bp8oaab Minnesota Out: Alexey Shved, Derrick Williams Minesota In: Bargnani Minnesota Outlook: trade their young pf who doesnt fit and a nice pg and land a tall spacing big to play next to love to make a formidable FC while hopefully making love happy enough to stick around Toronoto Out: Bargnani, Calderon Toronto In: Pau, Shved Toronto Outlook: they trade their disgruntled center and expiring back up pg for a all-star C/PF in Pau and a younger but solid backup pg Lakers Out: Pau Lakers In: Calderon, Derrick Williams Lakers Outlook: they trade misfit Pau and gain a very good pg that fits the system and gain a young pf prospect that also fits the system all while cutting salary and gaining flexibility
Yeah, I'd be interested to see what Tyreke could do playing with a game manager like Rondo. It's a big risk, but with the Celtic's window practically closed a high risk/reward move is what they need.
The Kings have known this about Evans for years, to their dismay. Nothing more ironic than a shooting guard who can't shoot.
that's interesting. Still, I'd wait if I'm Sota. The only way I'd do a deal this year would be if someone offered a young All Star + other good pieces. Like Aldridge+Batum, or Harden+Parsons+multiple assets, or something of that sort.
#1 interesting, Boston would have to do it. Play him at 3. I think he'd look better there, playing a proper role and position. The only issue short term would be their lack of shooting. Rondo, Bradley, Tyreke -- it would take some creativity to give these guys the minutes they deserve without compromising your spacing. #2 i don't think the Kings would consider it right now -- maybe in a year, if Chandler gets healthy and plays well.
LA + Batum is a possibility since Minny pursued Batum so hard in FA. But I would be so pissed if Morey traded away Parsons + Harden for Love.
If his contract was expiring this season or next, than yes I'm sure they'd do it. But he's got 3 years left, and this draft looks pretty weak.
