We need Iso Joe and Brook on a buyout. I am pretty sure there is no buyout on Chandler. Anderson had to be traded for equivalent contracts that are not expiring because that completes the 3rd team leg of the trade for a star. We don't have any other way of acquiring one.
A while back I mentioned Joe Johnson as a potential buy out target. As a small ball PF, he could be a good get. Can hit 3's and create his own shot. Much rather have him shooting 3's than Anderson. Johnson is very familiar with MDA's system from back in the Phoenix days.
Capela and 2nd ...for... WCS & V. Carter He can do all the things Capela can plus be an even better anchor our defense. He has one year left on his rookie deal. We can’t afford Capela in free agency and will have nothing when he is signed by another team. Kings need to pay some one to meet the league minimum salaries next season because most of their team are on rookie contracts. WCS is dinged up (knee) but should pass physicals with no problems. When Carter gets playing time he still can hit the long ball
The trade that makes perfect sense is Anderson to Phoenix for Chandler and Dudley. We get a perfect backup center and another stretch 3/4. Also those two are expiring and breakup Ryno contract into two smaller contracts which of course makes facilitating a Lebron deal much easier this summer. Phoenix is going to rightfully demand something for taking on an extra year of Ryno and that’s probably going to cost us a first rounder. That trade is a perfect blend of improve now and increase flexibility for the summer.
no thanks Evidence that he could be an even better anchor for our defense? U really trust going into the playoffs with WCS as our starting C? I don’t. I’d much rather have Capela.
Ryan Anderson, nene and 2 second round picks for Carmelo? Opens up a roster spot, clears up future money and gives us higher upside.
Sounds like things are starting to heat up in Houston finally. Offers made that don't include trying to just dump Anderson. Willing to take on long term contracts so it doesn't seem like the plan is to free up space for LeBron.
Isn’t this tough to do with the hard cap? Unless we are moving some key pieces in the rotation. If that’s the case, who could be worth messing up the chemistry up for?
Aaron Gordon over Joe Johnson anytime please But would Orlando absorb Ryan's Anderson's humongous contract? I'm not sure anyone would. If Daryl Morey can swing it, then it would be redemption. GO for it. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7phpsvz
When you say "offers made", do you mean that Morey is receiving offers? Or Morey is making offers? Thanks for sharing all this with us =)
I'd say it's more like not making moves in anticipation of him coming here. If he wants to come here in the summer, they'd find a way to make it work then.
