Capela, Anderson, and 1st round pick for DeAndre Jordan. You get to clear Anderson's salary. Here's hoping that CP3, LeBron, and DeAndre would all just agree to split our 2018 cap space evenly: PG: Paul / Gordon SG: Harden / Ariza SF: James / Williams PF: Tucker / Zhou C: Jordan / Nene
I hear ya. I hated all the bashing, and kept hoping he would come back from the terrible streak. It's hard to defend him anymore though. It's even harder to watch.
I was looking at it more as the Rockets do it bc they receive a serviceable big and immediately shed 8 mil. from next seasons cap bc Carter is expiring. Carter could come alive for a team that actually has a chance and Randolph's 12 mil for 2 seasons is also a lot easier to move than Ryno's this offseason. I think SAC does this simply for the pick. Ryno's contract would also expire at the same time as Hill's freeing up 40 mil in cap space in 3 season's time. Until then, they could run a pace a space game to keep things interesting for the fans and try to make moves in the draft.
We need to target Jordan Crawford badly. Having he, Green, Gordon & Nene could help scoring off the bench. Therefore leaving us with our 4 guard rotation. Next we must move Anderson with a first for Tobias Harris. Detroit isn’t going anywhere and Van Gundy knows anderson next to a big center like drummond tends to work out. I think then we would have the spacing off the bench with either Harden or Cp3 running point with shooters in crawford, green and gordon there with defensive studs in ariza, tucker, moute and capela. Tobias would instantly provide us with an upgrade over anderson at literally every aspect. Cp3/Harden/Crawford Harden/Gordon/Green Ariza/Tucker/Green Harris/Moute Capela/Nene/Black
Not sure if financially you can keep both Ariza and Gordon in above scenario, may need to replace one if not both. And LeBron would be PF in our system. PG: Paul/Harden SG: Harden/Gordon SF: MaM/Green PF: Lebron/Tucker C: Jordan/Nene/Qi Still think Capela is retained over DJ, but someone more economical like Noel is brought in to supplement 5 spot and give Clint and Nene help.
Black + onuaku + (Cash, late 2nd or overseas draft rights) to Dallas for Nerlens Noel For Dallas they shed a headache and receive 2 rather mediocre returns and black who is filler. For Houston it’s hoping for an upgrade at a small backup rotation role. Kind of a small risk medium reward possibly. Adds a little youth and athleticism and also sheds $400k+ off our salary giving us more breathing room below the tax to chase buyout candidates.
George Hill for Ryan Anderson SAC gets a hometown kid in exchange for someone who wants out HOU gets a guard depth on a shorter contract
Buy zach Randolph and then sign Marc Gasol next year. We will have super front upgrade plus our super guard. It is worth to try like this. Memphis wants to sell their 19pts plus 5 rebs point guard 327m
Fine. Anderson Ariza (expiring) Tarik Black (expiring) for Deng Nance Randle Clarkson Can't imagine the Lakers doing this, but you never know. Deng, Clarkson, Nance are scheduled to make $32.8 million next year, plus the $5.6 qualifying offer to Randle. Anderson is on the books for $20.4 million. So $12.4 million in cap savings. Or maybe you find a three-way trade to make it work. You could send Anderson to Philadelphia instead of LAL, with Philly sending the Lakers Amir Johnson and Trevor Booker. That'd clear $30+ million form the Lakers cap in the offseason. But given Anderson's slump, doubt the Sixers do that. They'd probably prefer the cap space themselves. But JJ would endorse Anderson to management and if Anderson started hitting, it would make sense around Embiid. Similarly you could do something similar with Phoenix. Anderson to Phoenix. Greg Monroe to LAL. But again, Suns probably would prefer the cap space.
Rockets should trade for Larry nance jr. They need to get more athletic players like Gerald green who can shoot from 3 and drive to the basket. Get rid of Anderson and fat ass Tucker. And they should trade luc too while they’re at it. He’s a scrub this forum likes for some reason.
Mirotic? He does similar things that Ryno does.. and esentially thats what we're looking for but ya know.. a bit more consistant. He wont be able to play backup C minutes but he shouldnt have to with Black getting more minutes and Tucker being more comfortable. He comes off the books next year and should look to play hard to earn his next contract. Plus the Bulls could use an experienced body in there right??
