http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kmwj2xx Basically we Sign and Trade Ryan Anderson for Blake Griffin and Mo Speights- Someone who wouldn't get bullied in playoff basketball, could be a point forward like Josh Smith- Good idea to try to get Blake. Clippers then Acquire Carmelo Anthony for Rivers, Johnson, Moute, B.Johnson- Clippers lose Redick and replace him with Anderson. Then Rose signs with Brooklyn and Knicks work out a sign and trade for Lin 2018 rockets Capela/nene/harrell/onuaku/speights Griffin/dekker Ariza/gordon/lou/troy Bev/redick Harden idk this team looks like it lost alot of spacing. Speights can't space like Anderson
Rockets will have 11.7M in cap space. But if they move Anderson's 19M for next season that gets you up to 30. They could also move Lou Williams' 7M. They have options. But right now, 11.7M is the free cap space.
Guarantee if Nene was healthy and playing, he would not have happened in game 5 OT and game 6 disaster happened. Harden just doesn't have that maturity in him. A guy who is in his late 20s and still spends every night partying and clubbing during the season should never be the go-to leader of a team.
1.trade anderson 2. sign blake Griffin, still somewhat spaces floor and improves defense against opposing bigs and he can play the 5 3. Get rid of Lou will, why you ask? Don't need his scoring and he seems to need the ball more than I was hoping don't need him and Gordon and harden. 4. Sign p.j tucker., improves wing defense, could play harden tucker bev capela griffin lineups, only weak defender is harden AND ariza needs a backup he's in his 30s and would be wise to pick a wing.
Paul Millsap should be free agency target nr1. Sign and trade him for Anderson and you improve your front court a lot, still would need another big, i think with Dekker being fully healthy and improving our 1-3 spot is pretty good to great, if we can get that 4 and 5 spot being deep and good we're set. Unless something majorly lucky happens i just can't see us getting PG, because team like Boston got much more assets and i doubt Hayward is coming, if there was little to no chance he will, no doubt there's no chance now, thank you based Harden.
I'm more open to the thought of adding a 32 yo Millsap to this team. He would cost a ton, but he can ball, and he can defend. The decline is imminent tho. Another PF that I'm looking at is Ibaka. If he's willing to accept 18-20 mil/yr, then I'd like to bring him in as our Ryno replacement. Yes, Ryno brings spacing, but this dude was trash for half the season on offense (home Ryan vs road Ryan), and suspect on defense for the entire season. Against OKC, it was 3 on 5 offensively with the way that he and Ariza were struggling. Ibaka is still a stretch 4 even if he's not the shooter that Ryno is. He can also be a backup 5, and he's just a much better defensive player. I'd also like to see us bring in a legit secondary playmaker. Harden just has to do too much. His usage rate is too high. He has to create way too much for others while also being our best scoring option by far.
Would love to have Millsap, if he ends up being available by opting out and is willing to come here. He'd want more than the near $21 million+ he would get in the last year of his Atlanta contract, though. If he opts out, any chance he might accept a 3 year deal starting at $25 million?
ppl need to realise that for a while now S+T offer no advantage for the player. So that's why they rarely ever happen anymore.
Could the Knicks be dumb enough to trade Porzingis due to his antics? They want Melo out and we have the pieces and maybe the assets to get both. Knicks get: Anderson, Capela, Williams, multiple picks if needed Rockets get: Anthony, Porzingis Knicks finally get Melo off the books while acquiring two very good shooters and a rising rim protecting big, plus picks Rockets get a legit 2nd star in Porzingis and Morey's long time dream of stretch 4 Melo. Moreyball achieves its ultimate final form with Harden surrounded by 4 shooters: Porzingis / Nene / Onuaku Anthony / Harrell / Wiltjer Ariza / T. Williams / Dekker Harden / Gordon Beverley / Brown / Taylor
