Chicago wants a quality wing, not a prospect. That means Ariza, not KJ. Of course I'd rather do Brewer/Terrence/Lawson for McDermott/Noah/Brooks.

McDermott is a pretty bad defensive player from what I've seen. If we are trying to compete, and not rebuild, then swapping out Ariza for him would would a bad move. Noah is a offensive liability and is redundant next to Capela and Howard. Brooks is just a middle of the pack backup PG who can't play defense at this point of his career. I don't see it for us. Id do Lawson and Dekker for Brooks and Gibson but doubt they would be interested in that. Perhaps KJ and Dekker for Mirotic?
Lol.... Hey are the Kings good? Then why TF would we want Cousins? Hey are the Twolves good? Then why the hell would we want Wiggins, KAT, Lavine and Dieng? That's like 4 players from a bad team wtf that would be terrible!! Just stop. Knight is a really good player, Morris would be a throw in and Cotton and Jefferson are fillers who wouldn't get minutes. We only give up one rotation player. That trade would be a steal.
Hillarious how they leak through Johnson that they will make no trade and then the next day leak that they are looking to trade Noah and Gibson. LOL If Noah leaves Chicago it will all fall apart chemistry wise. So I wish he leaves. Now as for McDermott he isn't going to be traded. But Mirotic may well be. McDermott cost them 2 first round picks just one year ago. These guys are narcissits. They will never do smth that shows they made a big mistake. They could have Harris and Nurkic if they didn't do that draft trade. Also Snell is 100% on the block. (he's useless).
Because he is invisible. Can't defend well because he just isn't focused, ball watches and leaves shooters wide open, and except for like two three games last year that he was hot, then he has been doing nothing. 0 0 0 0 0 lines is quite normal for him. Alr last game he lost his "starting" spot to Mirotic who isn't even a sf.
Me too. Sick of him. Chicago could be worth giving a call. Malakas may feighnt, but what about Tony Snell? Only 24, good contract, could amount to something. His Defense isn't that bad, and he can shoot the three. Ariza for: Snell and Mirotic.
I'm not saying Ariza is going anywhere, but Chicago has supposedly made available Taj Gibson and....I think Noah (although he's out for two weeks with either an injury or an "injury").
More than anything else the Rockets need a backup 5 that can lock down the paint and control the boards when Dwight sits. We are now....3-13 when we get outrebounded and 12-2 when we outrebound the opponent.
Gibson and Gay to Houston Noah and Jones to Sac Jones, Ariza, Lawson to Chicago Brewer and 2 2nds for Jack Trade a future rounder and cash for Josh Smith Bev/Jack/Terry Harden/Thornton/KJ Gay/Smith/Dekker DMo/Gibson/Harrell Howard/Capela
I actually think Snell is exactly the type of player we should look at. Ariza: * Cannot shoot worth a damn (I mean how many open shots does this guy miss) * Has horrible shot selection (what's up with him taking this random pull up jumpers?) * Is a horrendous finisher. For real. I have never seen a worse finisher at his size. Blown finger rolls, bricked layups. He can only finish with a dunk. * Cannot dribble. He should never put the ball on the floor. He looks drunk. * Does not have a good IQ. Today, he secures the ball from Howard's fumble off the lob, we have 5 seconds left and two timeouts. What does he do? He hoists up a cringeworthy contested three that seals our fate. On top of all this, his defense, which is what we are really paying him for, has dropped off significantly this year. He is constantly losing his man, he doesn't box out. He lets players blow past him (yes, I know Harden has been porous on defense this year). Make no mistake, Ariza has been poor defensively this season. Really poor. So what are you left with? A player we brought in to knock down open threes and play good defense, who can't knock down any open shots and isn't a very good defender. Thankfully, he still has a lot of value. Tony Snell could be very good on this team. He has a 7'0" wingspan, he has handles, he can put the ball on the floor and finish with a teardrop or he can collapse the defense and pass it to the open man. He is a good defender and has the tools to be an elite defender. On top of all this, Snell is shooting 38% from three this season and is a 37% career three point shooter. I would trade KJ or Ariza (in a package between both parties) for Snell. He can ball. He would be an excellent fit next to Harden and he can do a bit with the ball. He moves off ball well and he hustles well. Only 24.
