Another basketball fan yay! So glad people don't watch Lakers, otherwise they'd know that these two are worst defenders on Lakers. Let me repeat that. 2 WORST DEFENDERS ON LOS ANGELES LAKERS. They're barely better than sixers. Are they? Sixers beat the Lakers. And you want their worst defenders on our team? Just because Harden is horrible on defense doesn't mean every other horrible defender will be great like Harden on offense to compensate. These 2 don't compensate enough.
It just seems like a Lawson,tj package makes the most sense. Lawson has a big enough contract and between the two of them there is enough upside to believe a team is getting a steal.
As a 6th man, I think Brandon Jennings makes a hell of alot more sense than Ty Lawson (especially after experiencing 8 weeks of Ty). That being said so does Aaron Brooks... at a much lower cost. At the end of the day, even though the Rockets are spending in contender mode (argue whether or not they are a contender) they still can't be oblivious to proper valuation of players in their particular roles. I don't know if its completely necessary to pay another guard on this roster a large salary for the role they will have moving forward with Harden being Harden. I think a couple mid-level guys who can do the Pat Beverley thing, and maybe add in some talent around him to help defend, and create a little bit. I think the secondary offense needs to come from the bigs, and ultimately an upgrade at the 3. The big thing that NOBODY seems to want to talk about is how on virtually every Rockets possession that doesn't end with Harden shooting/driving ends up with the defense doubling off of Ariza, and Ariza having to create something awkwardly. I love Ariza for this team but its a major weakness that nobody wants to address because we all realize how important his defense & OPEN three point shooting is.
Are we sure AB is available? That team is still a playoff contender in the East and Brooks actually plays a decently important role. Then there is the Rose health issue looming over Chicago since the beginning of time. Also I wasn't saying trade Lawson for AB. Obviously that deal doesn't work in the trade machine. I was saying they are basically paying for a 12 mil a year spark plug guard which Lawson surely is not, and that's bad value in comparison to what you can get with an AB type of veteran playing on a league min to mid level type of contract. I also noted that its not really a necessary thing to have one in the first place if you have secondary options offensively which they should have with D-Mo, and being able to run some back cuts for shooters like Thornton/Terry etc. You have other ways to create offense than just Harden 1 on 1, or the backup playmaker running the show when Harden is off the court. Meaning... we don't NEED Brandon Jennings, but yeah I'd rather have him than Lawson IN THE ROLE that Lawson is currently playing.
Well it's not like the Bulls are active but yes he is available but because their team is cheap they need someone cheap back (regardless if it would be possible I mean in the trade machine). They need to boost their bench a lot. Brooks is already abusing the freedom that Hoidberg has given them by taking many stupid shtos at the start of the clock. Pistons desperately need to boost their bench too, so Jennings may be available for pieces for the bench. But that doesnt' mean that they have put him specifically on the trading block.
Yes I do actually watch basketball, which is why I suggested this trade. Williams would be a scoring threat off the bench and Bass is a solid power forward who can stretch the floor with his mid range ability. Educate yourself.
Brandon Bass" midrange shooting has fallen off a cliff the last couple seasons. We're better off having a 30% 3-point shooter out there.
Good night, no. Chandler as useable filler for a near all-star Bledsoe, yes. Chandler as a target for a trade no thanks. 3 years left on him at $12M per at his age, no thanks. I think he will make it through his contract and it will look really sad the last year or so. If we could pick up Morris the money saved would soften Chandlers contract in the future. Not a fan of Knight next to Harden.
Actually last season he was money from there, shooting almost 44%. However playing in Byron Scott's idiotic offense, he's not even in a position to take them. He has taken 25 shots from mid range all season. Last season: http://vorped.com/1-nba/2014-2015/player/1158/brandon-bass/shotchart/ This season: http://vorped.com/1-nba/2015-2016/player/1158/brandon-bass/shotchart/
Howard, Lawson, Jones, McDaniel plus rights to Llull & (the rights of which ever one of Rockets or Suns pick is higher the lower comes to us) For Bledsoe, Morris & Chandler All 3 are signed for 3 more seasons. We save $6M & 2 OPEN roster spots. Start combing the Dleague / overseas for the next Beverley or sign type player.
He can't educate himself on teams that no lithuanian man plays. Why you think he's here? Because of liking the Rockets? And I agree on Bass. It's due to Byron's tanking. Though I would prefer Young to Lou.
except the grand jewel of this trade is a FA next season and Suns don't have any good luck with attracting FA...it's not like he's a rfa. I liked how you threw in a pick swap in favour of the Rockets tho. lol
It sounds good and Llull isn't ever going to come to the NBA, too. They need a star player maybe Howard fills that void. Morris wants out and Chandler gets older daily (lol, because he is human). We 're locking ourselves in for 3 more seasons. Bledsoe and Harden seem like a fit, IMO. I would offer a pick out right but the Suns have some many there is no way they have room to develope what they have. Howard would play there and sign again to save what is left of his reputation. Len takes some of the sting out of Howard's part time act. The Suns only have Knight signed long term making Howard prime for a signing.
