Why do you guys always go full rape? I always see people here offloading ols/injury-prone and bad performing players for every valuable guy the other team has.

actually this trade is very bad for the rockets.
Pau is on a discount contract right now but he has declared he is going to opt out unless smth serious happen. Do you want to pay 36 y.o Pau 10 per a year and he doesn't accept coming off the bench? I don't.
Noah as well it's not certain he will resign. Could do as Kirk did and go back and resign with the Bulls straight up since he loves them so much *puke*. :rolleyes:Plus hes the worst center in offence in the league.

Ariza is not worth the rest of the package no way.

I would consider listening to a trade for Ariza for Taj Gibson Sac first rounder, Chicago first rounder and McDermott. Would probably say no but would be a good start.
Pau and Noah have very bad trade value, far far worse than Dwight's.

I'd be surprised if that happened. Look at Dwight tonight. Out in the community. Giving back. He's being very overt and making lots of public appearances, the right kinds of appearances in the community. Dwight has the look and feel of a guy that is doing the right things to become a staple in the community. I simply can't see us moving him. He's basically irreplaceable on the defensive end for us. Without him we are a bottom 5 team in the whole league. He's the only guy holding our defense together right now. We're giving up 125 a night if he's gone.

would you give him up for Daymond Green and Bogut? - hypothetically speaking cause Green can be traded yet.

it would have to be something like

Daymond Green/Bogut for D12 and Ariza to make salaries match

Why sure. But that's not reality. It's not going to happen.

We have to be realistic. If we move Dwight WHERE are we going to get a similar defensive anchor and rebounder???

Because we have N-O-T-H-I-N-G on this roster right now that can even come close to giving us what he gives us on the defensive end.

If....we trade Dwight midseason this year....we are most likely bailing out on the season and going to the lottery. You simply aren't going to get back a better paint defender/rim protector/rebounder than him if you trade him and you aren't going to get back a better paint defender/rim protector/rebounder than him if you try to trade other guys not named Harden for that kind of player.

DWIGHT is NOT the problem with this current bunch. And I'm not a Dwight fan. I don't like the way Dwight plays on the offensive end. I'd much rather watch one of the Gasol brothers operate and I'm pretty sure if we had Marc Gasol in the middle for us instead of Dwight that we would be championship contenders because Marc is good on both ends of the court along with being almost magical on the offensive end. But Marc isn't acquirable either.

Bottom Line: 1. Take Dwight off this team and we totally collapse into the Sixers universe. There is no attainable player out there that can replace what Dwight gives us on the defensive end and the glass.

Morey would probably rather have Marc Gasol as well, people forget we offered the most we could under the rules prior to him breaking out.

People seem to believe that the Rockets would get some huge return for Dwight, and that isn't the case. He can be a free agent, misses games and is 30. I just don't see it.

Indeed I wouldn't be shocked if Dwight exercises his option.

Why would GSW trade the 2nd most important piece (and also the best defender in the league) of an all-time great team that just won a championship and is currently 23-0?

i think we have 3 problems.

    1. General D is not good (D12 cant be the only one that holds the D together)+plus no one fears our interior D

    2. we dont set good screen - we need to take one from GSW and start setting moving Screens.

    3. To Much harden not enough transition. (Jsmoove was Key here)

Our 3's will open up when we start doing these 3 things.

Jsmoove solves all 3 of those things . But we need to find someone else that can do that too... Honstely - he is a poor man's Draymond Green if used correctly

On paper Dwight Howard is a better talent than Draymond Green. I mean one guy is a top 5 center and the other guy plays the "glue" role.
