Vast majority of people that analyze basketball for a living think Jones is the better player right now.

You're pulling that out of your hiney. Vast majority of people that analyze basketball for a living aren't thinking about either Terrence or Turner, much less how they stack up against each other and which one is better.

where's the evidence that Turner is right now a better shooter or player in the NBA?
    It doesn't exist.

Aren't you reading my NBARank thread in the Dish?

    238. Myles Turner
Jones - ??? yet to be ranked, 119 at least.

A ton of people picked Jones over Turner to formulate that rank.

I just posted stats showing that Terrence Jones had better Summer League stats fresh out of college 3 years ago than Myles Turner did fresh out of college 3 months ago.

I'm pretty sure Jones improved a lot over the past 3 years.

Saying Myles Turner is the better player at this very moment is incredibly stupid.

    SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?

Where is the evidence that I ever said Turner is right now a better player in the NBA? I simply said you have no proof that Terrence is the superior player and to think or assume that Terrence is far better than Myles Turner shows a bias towards Terrence because you have no clue if that's true. But anyways....here's your proof that Myles is the far superior shooter. SMH

Yeah, Myles Turner looks great and you'd think he would dominate.

People said the same things before he went to Texas.

And his college career was... underwhelming.

As was Terrence's college career. Terrence was a top 10 pick out of HS, then fell down his freshman year, and couldn't even recover his sophomore year. He did anything but dominate.

But this isn't about whether or not Myles Turner is going to dominate or even be a good NBA player. I stepped in to point out the obvious bias towards Terrence. Multiple of you posters are claiming Terrence is a better player than Turner. You have absolutely zero evidence to back up that assertion. It's simply your bias bleeding through.

Right because the plays on his team had nothing to do with that? Tell the whole story

The first part is true. But the part you seem to be glossing over is that Terrence has been in the league for 3 years and has improved a lot since he was a sophomore in college and his rookie year.

Myles Turner was underwhelming in college and has not played a single minute in the NBA.

In 3 years Turner might be better than Terrence Jones is currently. But as of right now, Terrence Jones is the better NBA player. There are many inferences you can make to strengthen that point and very few you can make to make an argument that Myles Turner is better right now.

The only argument you have is that Turner is taller and can shoot a little better.

why put spoilers? To hide the shut up?

There is no proof or evidence that Turner is even a backup caliber NBA player. Whereas for Jones there is.
Your videos are out of topic. A draft workout and a video of Jones working with a SHOT DOCTOR who by definition is tweaking his shot???

to be honest these rankings are trash but so is the opinon that an unknown high pick is better than a proven NBA player.
And take into account that in those bad rankings the rookies are TOO MUCH overvalued. Randle 150 Mudiay 123 who knows where Okafor and D'angelo Russel will end up.

So probalby Myles Turner rank would be much lower than even 238 for the next season.

all you have to do is look at their forms to know who the superior shooter is. I don't need to see a basket or the ball going through the net. Just watch their forms.

Tweaking his shot??? Terrence's jumper needs a complete rebuild from the ground up. He'll never be a plus shooter with those mechanics. Never.

Do you realize what you're doing here? You're looking at clear visual evidence of the difference in Turner's and Terrence's jump shots and you're trying to justify the argument that Terrence is just as good a shooter as Turner. You said there was no evidence that Turner was the better shooter than Terrence. malakas the evidence is overwhelming that Turner is the better shooter. For you to deny that......hurts your credibility. You're not that stupid.

    bmd,

basically what you are saying is if a guy has been in the league for 3 years he's going to be better than a guy that is a rookie and hasn't played in the league. you have no evidence that Terrence is a better player than Turner. None.

you 100% have issues regarding jones.

besides watching clint capela. the thing im looking most forward to when watching games this year is jones hopefully having a healthy season and making some huge plays to win some games for the rockets. so you will shut the hell up about him for once.
