Howard, Anderson, Ariza and Rockets 2018 1st to Cavs Love, Varejao, Jefferson and Babbitt to Rockets KJ, Jones and NYK 2nd to Pelicans Best value for Love in a Rockets trade idea yet?
Word That's why there's nothing but reports out right now saying that not one team is willing give up any single worthwhile asset for Howard. If we can find a way to flip Howard + asset fillers like Ariza, Jones, KJ and picks into Love, I'd do it 10 times out of 10.
A ridiculously crazy idea: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zkkl7t2 My starting point was that Spurs would be an interesting destination for a Howard rental, since they are the only team likely to challenge the Warriors. Their defense drops off without Duncan. With Duncan injured or not playing more than 25mins a night, there are plenty of minutes to share btw Aldridge, Duncan and Howard. Maybe the twin towers could be the answer to the Warriors small ball. If Duncan and Manu retire this summer, the Spurs will have the flexibility to make a reasonable offer for Howard or any other max-level center. Danny Green would be a reasonable fit next to Harden, as he is a good defender and plays well off the ball. He hasn't played as well as expected this year and there have been trade rumours about him. His contract is great value and would leave us with plenty of cap space to go after a big FA over the summer. Will Barton would be a decent replacement in the Spurs starting line-up at a lower cost than Green. Spurs would need to throw a pick to get Denver interested. Diaw is reasonable value, but Denver could package him with Faried or Gallo for the star they have been looking for. Philly is there just to make the numbers work. Arthur's contract is good value and they would benefit from the veteran leadership he can bring.
They say Suns is ready to deal Teletovic, Tucker and Brandon Knight with the emergence of Archie Goodwin and Devin Booker. We can try to get Teletovic and Brandon Knight for Jones+Brewer/Motiejunas plus a first round pick and boost our 3-point shooting without losing Dwight and still having cap flexibility for the summer but i'm not sure what Suns are asking in return for Brandon Knight tho.
Brewer/kj/tj to Phoenix for teletovic/tucker Lawson/thornton/2nd to Milwaukee for mcw/mayo Harrell to Brooklyn for t.rob Mcw/bev......jet Harden/mayo Ariza/tucker...... Dekkar Teletovic/smoov/t.rob..... Dmo Dwight/capela
I think Gallo, Jokic or Nurkic, Faried etc.. would take Harden from our end. Which is why Gallo is just a pipe dream.
Gallo is costing two lottery first rounders at least. We don't have the assets and with Nurkic and Jokic they couldn't care less about getting Howard. And if Boston wants him they will have to give the BKN pick.
What's the obsession with Gallo? Yes he's a very nice player but he's not worth what Denver would be asking for him
Combo forwards who can shoot that well and get to the line as much and be at least competent defensively are very rare that's why there are multiple teams who want him. The depth of sfs is extremely poor in the modern NBA. He's not a star, but he's a step bellow one and if he went to Stevens in Boston who made even Olynyk look competent in defence and IT the chucker into an "All Star" he would be an all star. The problem is with his injuries people have forgotten how good Gallo is or can be.
Shooter, playmaker, spaces the floor - he's like what Rashard Lewis was supposed to be for the Magic.
i still don't see the thrill in teams going for dwight, if you want him pay him in the summer unless your a brooklyn and can just get him for a joe johnson expiring
