Wow, still no moves from any NBA team yet. Very slow trade deadline so far.

Trades never happen until the actual deadline day.

I don't think so - what advantage do they have trading assets for a few months of Howard if they are missing their second best scorer and best two-way guy? They'll never beat Cleveland, and Riley has already given up a lot for Dragic. I think if Bosh is out with another clot, there's a good chance he will be out for a full year or more and may even have to retire based on the need for taking a blood thinner. That pretty much takes them out of contention in the East as Wade declines. They'll need to do a full rebuild.

The more I look at it, Washington really is the best trade partner for us.

They have a big expiring (Nene), a decent center signed to a decent deal (Gortat), young wing prospects (Oubre and Porter), and all of their future picks.

If I'm Washington, I'm worried that a team with Wall and Beal doesn't have enough pizazz to be taken seriously by Durant. Wall, Beal and Dwight? Maybe. Then you add in hometown thing and the east being an easier route......there's a chance.

I still prefer Dwight + Ariza for Love, and I think its a reasonable trade that both teams should consider. Cleveland will not have cap space this summer, and they don't have the pieces necessary to overhaul their team without sending out one of Love or Irving. IMO, adding Dwight and Ariza gives them a better chance to beat Golden State than keeping Love does.

    Irving
    Shumpert
    Ariza
    LeBron
    Dwight

But I don't understand why this makes any sense:

Interesting. Not sure about MCWs fit, but why not?....you're just going to lose Lawson for nothing this summer.

Brian Roberts ranks 3rd in pick & roll scoring efficiency among players using over 2 possessions per game behind Stephen Curry, Gary Neal

Gary Neal at 1yr 2.1mil I think would be a good pick up for 2nd unit also shooting 41% from 3pt

Trade 1: Brewer + Jones + KJ + 2nd round pick for Markieff Morris + PJ Tucker

Trade 2: Lawson + 1st round pick + 2nd round pick for Teague + salary filler (eg Hardaway)

    Teague/Beverly/Terry
    Harden/Thornton/Hardaway
    Ariza/Tucker/Dekker
    Morris/Smith/DMo
    Howard/Capela/Montrezl
