I would like to see Courtney Lee here again, currently on a 1 yr deal at 5mil with Griz. Don't know what it would take to get him.
From ESPN Insider Today's "Ten big trades we'd like to see before the NBA deadline": Breaking up the Hawks and Rockets Atlanta Hawks send: Al Horford, Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver to Houston; Thabo Sefolosha to Minnesota Houston Rockets send: Dwight Howard to Atlanta; Patrick Beverley, KJ McDaniels and Donatas Motiejunas to Minnesota Minnesota Timberwolves send: Ricky Rubio to Atlanta View in ESPN's trade machine at: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jtp8bdc
Howard, Beverley, Ariza and KJ for Horford, Splitter, Teague and Sefelosha Dump Splitter and Brewer + picks in the off season for cap space. Sign Durant and Horford to max deals + vet mins. Or renounce Dmo and dump Sefelosha, then sign Barnes(orBatum) and Whiteside to 20 mill max deals Teague Harden Durant / Sefelosha Horford / Harrell / Dekker Capela / Motie Or Teague Harden Barnes / Dekker Horford / Harrell Whiteside / Capela
I'd be sad losing DMo (take TJones pls), but this is a helluva haul Teague/Lawson/Terry Harden/Thornton Korver/Brewer/Dekker Ariza/Smith/TJones Horford/Capela/Harrell me likey
I actually do like that trade. Surprisingly. I didnt like seeing the parts leave but I like the product as a whole. We still have a gaping hole at the 4, but im sure we could tweak it. Plus I imagine Smith and Horford are pretty good together. Theyre familiar for sure, so maybe we can see that beautiful old 4-5 pick n roll. I also dont believe in Markieff which I think we could probably still get, but he would serve as a better 4 than Ariza. I think Ariza might be higher on the depth chart than Korver... dont know. Probably depends on whos shooting better. Kind of an older look to the rockets, very familiar names, lots of veterans on that squad.
SHUMPERT! he killed it last playoffs and is now available. only 25, can only get better. perfect backup wing for ariza and rockets. GET THIS GUY! NOW!
worth the risk. when he's on he can make wide open threes on a consistent basis, somethign rockets desperately need. elite defense, atheltetic and only 25 and maybe even start over ariza. with a huge roster change happening now or offseason its gonna be hard to find enough good pieces if they wanna contend. get this guy for ty's bum ass
You want to do 1 & 2, plus stop other team from doing 1 & 2 = 4 things (offense & defense)... so yeah...
