LMBO at the idea that Terrence is a win now player. Here's the rest of what Lowe said: Keeping it real, malakas.
lmao I almost chocked on my morning coffee. "keeping it real" from bballholic. I will put this in my sig for sure. LMAO. And in case you missed it darling read up in my secod post in this page where I said that first he has to decide to go all in. And why not? Lowry won't get any younger and Derozan might decide to sign elsewhere if they lose in the first round YET again.
Jones may be more valuable to us then a late 1st at this point, unless we get a vet PF in return or Dmo proves he's healthy I wouldn't trade Jones for just a pick or a non big at the moment.
Jopat (Holic, Bobbythenotsogreat) have been in rare form today. Completely off his meds when it comes to Terrence Jones.
The Raptors GM is a really smart cookie. Picks are just too valuable these days in this current climate which is why teams rarely deal them. If they are willing to deal a pick(s) then will likely look to get back a young productive vet on a longish reasonable contract such as Faried or Thad Young. They will be looking for a player to help them win now and in the future. Someone like Faried also moves the needle in helping them resign Derozan this summer. Jones or DMo just present headaches with their upcoming contract negotiations. They could also use a SF so a Gallinari type could also be a possibility. Keep in mind Ujiri does have history with that Denver team.
4 team trade with Chicago, New Orleans, and Boston Rockets In: Pau Gasol, Tyreke Evans, Jae Crowder, Dunleavy Rockets Out: Lawson, Brewer, Ariza, Jones Pelicans In: Noah, Smart, Brewer, RJ Hunter Pelicans Out: Evans, Pondexter, Asik, Cole Celtics In: Lawson, Jones, Snell, Pondexter Celtics Out: Bradley, Smart, Hunter, Crowder Chicago In: Bradley, Ariza, Asik, Cole Chicago Out: Dunleavy, Snell, Gasol, Noah Picks flying everyone but this is the basic idea. Rockets get a veteran Power Forward who played by Howard before. Evans has been most productive at the PG and has shown frustration because he's being played as a SF. Crowder and Dunleavy to fill the void at SF and higher 3pt%. Pelicans get a young PG, an all-star center (although he has fallen off), and some decent roll-players and really only give up Tyreke Evans production wise. Celtics give Lawson another chance. Bradley has been assumed to already have reached his ceiling. Snell is just a better version of Hunter. Pondexter gives them a decent shooter as well. Also Jones might help them as they kind of lack productive big men. Chicago gets defensive players that add to their depth. Ariza and Bradley provide defense and Bradley is a suitable replacement for Rose when he gets injured. Asik reunion in Chicago and Norris Cole can provide as well. This also opens up room for Mirotic and Portis to grow. Chicago IMO comes out as the loser talent wise. Maybe not all these players but a trade along this sort of format would make me happy.
Hard to find too many holes but wow - a 16 player deal with very few "filler" contracts would be unbelievable. Would be by far the largest trade in NBA history. BOS comes out on bottom IMO - expirings in Lawson and Jones who play positions Boston actually has talent at (Thomas and Sullinger). Not much of an upgrade there if you ask me. Interesting thoughts though.
LMAO. Don't you guys just love it when someone post a trade where the Rockets gets everything and everyone else gets screwed.
He leaked the price he wants, that's not exactly the price they will get. Anyways for Gallo + filler we'd probably have to do a 3 way involving a combo of Ariza, Motie + Harrell/Dekker and picks. May be worth it, but his defense and durability may be a problem.
actually what I posted was last years trade deadline price. Apparently this year the price they are leaking is higher. They have been leaking that Gallo is there to stay and will only ever be traded in a blockbuster deal or for a high pick and they are in no hurry at all to trade him. And judging by their M.O they are in no hurry to trade anyone over there.
