He is playing very well right now off the bench for Denver. I could see the Nuggets trading him. For what? I'm not sure. I actually like the idea of possibly acquiring RF as long as we don't give up too much.

    NOP pick? Capela?

And I don't think we will acquire a star. We dont have enough for one. But let's be realistic. If a player that is acquired is gonna help this team, his contract probably won't be cheap. Why would the other team dump a good player on a cheap contract.
I just think Bass is perfect because he could be a good player for us (by good I mean he improves us and that's pretty easy considering the way Dmo is playing) and he also gives us an option to package him for another player later.

Why? Terry is playing good enough for us now. Right now the clear weakness is the PF spot. Black and Dorsey are centers, Kpap only works for certain match ups and Dmo is not working out. I don't feel comfortable with Jones being our only option here.

PG might also be an issue with Bevs health, but I feel way better about Bev/Canaan/Terry rotation at PG than our PF situation.

Teletovic is an ideal fit on this team at this time. A high volume 3-ball shooter at the 4. And he can hit it. Also has a bigger body and can scrum in the paint defensively a little bit. Just a pedestrian defender but playing alongside Dwight, and Ariza, and Bev...his D isn't critical.

Offensively, Canaan, Harden, Ariza, Dwight, Teletovic is unstoppable.

Would love to have him. Would give up Terrrence and Dorsey to get him right now. If we could get a guy like this without giving up any of H&H, Ariza, KPap, Terry, Bev, and Canaan....we'd be set except for getting a good backup center.

I think he could be a better fit than Jones, but not much better. If we trade him for TJ we are left with the same depth problem at the 4. However, if we could to get him without giving TJ...

How good is he? Haven't watched any Brooklyn ball is year. He was alright last year, nothing special. Would he be worth giving up the NOP pick and Capela?

I've had my eye on him since 2012 when we traded away the outside shooting of Patterson and Morris. Thought we should have made a move for him last year while his stock was still probably not too high, but he seems to be putting it all together this year. High volume and high percentage 3 point shooter. He would absolutely be hell on wheels with Dwight and James on the floor with him. It would be like shooting layups for him. Doesn't do a whole lot of anything else, but he seems like an elite shooter at the PF position and I don't think he would kill you everywhere else. His shooting is probably good enough to make up for his deficiencies.

I thought about Foye in the offseason, but is not vehemently against it after hearing that he's a scoring w**** who does a lot of his scoring in garbage time. I don't know how much of his stat this year is coming from garbage time, but just that kind of attitude is not someone I want on my team.

He shot 39% on 3 point shots last year with nearly 5 attempts per game. That would have been higher than anybody on our team last year. He is shooting 50% so far this year on 6 attempts per game. He doesn't have the body of work that Ryan Anderson has, but Anderson is usually around 39% on 6 or 7 attempts per game.

Nope. Not good enough for the pick and Capela. We could include Capela with Jones but Brooklyn would have to send us back a future pick and they just don't have many of those. I'd save Capela to merge into another trade in hopes of possibly getting back a future first or a couple second rounders.

I'm expecting a good number of nice players available at the deadline this year. Denver is already looking like they'll suck. Minnesota will suck and may offload Thad Young for half the price they paid for him. Atlanta even in the east is looking very mediore. If Phoenix starts to look mediocre and their 3-PG rotation is looking bad, one of them will be almost certainly be traded. Morey will certainly get to be predatory.

I don't think Capela has much value at this time .... He's just so RAW.

I haven't seen a whole lot of him but what I did see he has a lot of things to clean up - Didn't box out , got handled in the paint by the backup to the backup , cant shoot , didn't catch the ball well & makes Dwight look like Calvin Murphy at the FT stripe.

The tools are all there physically but its going to take a lot of polish to make anything out of that lump of coal.

Capela's value, at minimum, should be a high second round pick. He's a first round pick in his rookie season and he has great size and athleticism. If you combine Capela with Terrence, you may be able to squeeze a non-lottery first round pick out of someone.

Capela+DMO+Dorsey for Tele sounds good to me!

It is funny how we think so differntly. We so need pop from someone other than H&H. Ariza is not the answer (think back just a few years ago). Foye will fill that role. The JET has done well filling the role (father time gets us all). Foye is a Ariza type role player -->off the bench or as a starter; he will make the team better. Playing next to Harden would make Harden look even BETTER.

A poster stated the power forward spot is need, yes you are correct but if the team and one of the stars get better. I think the move is a must. PLUS - Pap will fill in the role that was Del3nio a season or so back but Pap is a better player over all. Not the best answer but still a good one. Jones's play is inconsistent but better than seasons past. DMtheGM patch looks like it will hold for the time being.

LMA is a UFA this coming up summer correct? Will we have the cap space to make a run at him?

Bargnani is the ideal fit next to and backing up Howard. Legit stretch 4 and has the size and strength to defend the post. Would give fits to all the elite 4s in the west due to his length. Not a great rebounder and has an albatross of a contract but Knicks were keen on getting rid of him at end of last season even offering picks/players. Sounds like a perfect Morey opportunity.
