I would only do that if it's the best deal to materialize, hopefully Morey can get something better. Lee would be a nice guy to have back though and Faverani has some upside.
Maybe Chicago will hold a fire sale and we can get Deng back for just Asik, DMo, and a pick. That would only work if the Bulls want to trade away Joakim Noah as well though. Alternatively we could do a three team deal to get them some assets.
Do you trade DH for CBosh one to one? With Bosh's range and ability to play C for a short time, he will be a perfect fit. Lin Harden Parsons Bosh Asik and then we have a deep bench
there have been alot of REALLY DUMB trade idea threads lately, thought I would bump this up to limit the stupidity of the new threads, but this will prob go by unnoticed. Seriously the GARM is getting harder and harder to read cause of these just flat out terribad trade ideas that honestly don't even belong in here
What is you guys' opinion on this trade... Rockets trade: Omer Asik and Robert Convington Celtics trade: Jeff Green (you can throw in some expiring deals or draft picks for this to work)
The Wiz were mentioned as wanting Asik in the other thread... +Rockets receive Washington's first round pick
What about something like this: A deal like this would be contingent on us getting a pick from somewhere (though the Nets don't have one they can trade for like the next 5 years) But I think it could work. Garnett hasn't really had the best year so far, but he's good enough to be the 5th option for us for maybe 25-30 minutes a game. More importantly he gives us veteran leadership and toughness, something we are really lacking at the moment. This move would also help T Jones development, having a mentor like KG could help him improve his game a lot. I don't see his minutes being cut by much either because Mchale would play KG at backup C when Dwight goes out. While he isn't the same interior force he was 4-5 years ago, he can still hold it down for 15 minutes a game. Capwise we take on around 3 million in salary, but a 12 million dollar expiring contract will be worth a lot at the deadline next year if this move doesn't work out longterm. It also doesn't hurt that KG and Mchale are Bffs from their time in Minnesota, so if he were to be traded he wouldn't mind coming here. For the other teams: Brooklyn needs to shake things up after this bad start and Pierce isn't playing well for them. Deng gives them a huge upgrade and potentially brings them back into the playoff conversation. D-Mo helps add depth at PF, but Evans and Teletovic aren't that bad when they get minutes. Chicago needs a backup C and they are familiar with Asik already. Terry can add some shooting off the bench and they are getting rid of Deng one way or another before the deadline and they are getting a decent return here. I could see them giving us Nazr Mohammed as well if we wanted a true backup C in exchange for a 2nd rounder from us.
I've only seen part of one Nets game this year, but Garnett appeared to have aged 5 years since last season.
Random 3 TEAM BLOCKBUSTER trade come Dec 15th simple because I'm bored. Unlikely like almost every trade here but good value for all me thinks Houston Out: Howard, DMO Houston In: K Love Minnesota Out: K Love Minnesota In: Horford, DMO, John Jenkins, Atl 2nd round pick Atlanta Out: Horford, John Jenkins, 2nd round pick Atlanta In: Dwight Howard Why for Houston? Houston realizes that the run and gun fast paced style does not mesh well with Dwight's style of play and Dwight's demands of low post touches. Dwight also realizes he cannot be the main man here. Houston trades him for the best PF in the league and a good fit with this team. Bev / Brooks Harden / Lin Parsons / Garcia Love / TJones Asik / Smith Why for Minnesota? Minny cash in on Love knowing that his contract expires in 2015. They get a good return in Horford, DMO and more assets from Atlanta. Why for Atlanta? Dwight goes back home and gets to be the man like he has always wanted to and surrounded by good to great floor spacers and shooters in Lou Williams, Korver, Millsap etc. Atlanta will be his team and he can get as many touches as he wants.
What do people think about this. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=l6sgpum Hou: Conley, Prince, we take trade exception Memph: Lin, Omer, (DMo) I feel like maybe memphis would bite with Gasol down. And I personally really like Conley. So is this trade a no way we are over paying? Or a lets trade Brooks for Lebron?
Would chicago do a package around Asik + Beverly + Greg Smith (they need a PG bad) for Butler + Deng + 2nd rounder?
that would be a great trade except we will def need a center back from someone Lin/Brooks/Canaan Harden/Butler Parsons/Garcia Deng/Jones/ Howard/Dmo
