Marvin would be a good fit here imo. He can play the 3 or 4 at times and hes no slouch defensively

The time is now to flip Jlin+Asik for Gasol and Meeks. Give them a 1st rounder if necessary.

This makes us better this year and gives us flexibility.

Probably have to throw in some picks as well but it works financially. Also I have heard that the Bobcats are not really sold on Walker yet. So I think they would be willing to part with him. I know the Knicks want to trade Shumpert and he knows how to play some defense. It would be nice to have him on the team. As for Melo, I know Morey loves him. It is just a matter of him guaranteeing that he will re-sign here. I could see it happening for sure though. If he comes here this team becomes the pen ultimate favorite in the West. We would be better than the Thunder, Spurs, Blazers, Clippers and possibly even the Heat and the Pacers.

    Of course he is.

Monroe's a 4/5 who plays a lot of high post. And a good passer.

I've thought of posting a trade that would get him; but all of this is academic anyway.

You'd need to get a "3" from another team to entice Detroit, thus moving Josh Smith to the 4.

That won't get it done at all. In fact that's downright delusional. Monroe's numbers aren't eye-popping but he's playing in a dysfunctional, too-many-bigs system. He was a top 5 pick. He'd be an expensive "get".

we need better shooters! some players I wouldn't mind somehow acquiring; Anthony Morrow, Mike Dunleavy, Kinda wished we got Courtney Lee now, Channing Fry, and Gary Neal. We have way too many below average three point shooters to be shooting this many threes.

Already have Drummond. They have no need for Asik and why would they give us a first?

If Monroe is on the block, you'll have to start by offering Parsons I imagine.

I don't like Monroe's fit with the Rockets anyway.

Any chance we can mold our team to be more like our '95 team? What trades would you make? We've got the star center and the star shooting guard; we need to find some marksmen, garbage men, and gritty defenders.

Considering we're looking to drop to the 6th seed, I'd very much like to harness all the 'Clutch City' magic possible.

I personally love this trade because we'd get a capable backup 2 in Gordon and a future all star PG in Kemba and on top of that we'd get a solid backup C in Faverani. We could let Gordon walk and then make a run at Carmelo.
