Rondo isn't the scorer Bledsoe is, so if they are expecting that then they will be disappointed. If they are trying something else then who knows. Bledsoe and Dragic combo worked because of the threat of either scoring.

Rondo for Lin, Asik and whatever fillers necessary. With ESPN trade machine, this deal can be done straight up with Boston using trade exception.

Because you are wrong and Alphabet is not a top 20 valued commodity in the league.

Yup, this. Alphabet MAY be a top 20 commodity in 3 years, but not right now. He has the body, and frame, to be a superstar, but until he is one, he's NOT a top 20 commodity. Now, he may be a top 20 commodity when it comes to players under, say, age 22...even then, though, you have to factor in this draft class

Forget Eric Gordon. He’s not on the trading block any more. This interview with Pelicans GM Dell Demps appeared in the New Orleans Times Picayune yesterday.
    http://www.nola.com/pelicans/index.ssf/2014/01/new_orleans_pelicans_general_m_3.html

"Question: Is Eric Gordon currently on the trading block?
Demps: We are very happy with him. Just as a policy, you should never say you are never going to trade a player. But we are not shopping him if that’s what you are asking. We are not. We are beyond happy with Eric
    ."

Of course this could just be GM double talk. Besides, Pelicans don’t need any more guards. They are loaded with them. And they definitely don't need yet another Power Forward.

    Houston:
    Out - DMO/ASIK/BREWER
    IN- MILSAP/KAMAN

Houston does this to get a PF and Back C -

    ATL
    Out - MILSAP/BRAND/KOVER
    IN - DMO/GASOL

ATL does this to get the C next to Hortford - Get a back up PF/C and loose the long contract of Korver. Plus tones of CAP Space next year. Still will make the Eastern Conference play off and possible go pretty deep.

    NOLA
    OUT - EVANS
    IN - OMER/KORVER/BREWER

NOLA does this bc evans isnt messing well and the need for a Center since theirs went down. They get a 3pt specialist that will help stretch the floor for Davis while Andersen is out.

    LAKER
    OUT - GASOL/KAMAN
    IN - EVANS/BRAND

LA does this to rid themselves of Gasol contract/ get a serviceable Vet in Brand but get a young piece in Evans. Ties them up for next year but Evans is better than any of their current PG. They have a lot of expiring deals so they should have cap space to get some good players. Considering Love/LeBron all wont opt out... this buys them time for 2015 free agency.

    Houston Out:Jeremy Lin,Omer Asik,Ronnie Brewer
    Houston In:Carlos Boozer,Kirk Hinrich,Mike Dunleavy

    Charlotte Out:Ben Gordon,Jeff Adrien, 2014 1st Round Pick(via Pistons),2014 1st Round Pick(via Bulls)
    Charlotte In: Joakim Noah,Ronnie Brewer

    Chicago Out:Joakim Noah,Carlos Boozer,Kirk Hinrich,Mike Dunleavy
    Chicago In:Omer Asik,Jeremy Lin,Ben Gordon,Jeff Adrien,2014 1st Round Pick(via Pistons),2014 1st Round Pick(via Bulls)

Houston does it to get a starting PF and improve there bench this will allow better vets play in the bench and let Jones boost the bench production. We can also can just rent Boozer for the rest of the season to see where that takes us I feel he can really help Dwight on rebounds and our defensive presence,if things dont work well we could trade him during the Draft or offseason.Hinrich can also play PG/SG so he can provide help in any position. We put to much value in Asik and Lin IMO, I think the best we can get is a starter at another position or bench players, maybe a pick, I tried to make it realistic. lol

    Bev/Brooks/Canaan
    Harden/Hinrich/Garcia
    Parsons/Dunleavy/Casspi/Covington
    Boozer/Jones/Smith
    Howard/DMO

Charlotte does it to get there star Center to go along with Al, they sacrifice there 2 first round picks for him and a big expiring in Gordon.

    Walker/Sessions/Pargo
    Henderson/CDR
    MKG/Brewer/Taylor
    Jefferson/McRoberts/Tolliver
    Noah/Zeller/Biyombo

Chicago does it to offer a quick rebuild while getting picks back, they get a big expiring contract, get 2 first round picks, get a PG to start now since Rose is done and also a money maker in Lin, and Thibo is re united with Asik who can now start on the Bulls while they rebuild for the next season.

    Lin/Augustin/Rose*
    Butler/Gordon
    Martin/Snell
    Gibson/Murphy
    Asik/Mohammed

no reason for bulls to do this.

they have their PG/SG combo already in rose/butler...they're not going to trade noah for a half-season of lin to fill in for rose....

would lin be a good 6th man for them? sure. but not nearly worth the downgrade from noah to asik....and theyre going to amnesty boozer this offseason

Well yea sure nothing is ever gunna be definite, but I see them not completely ruling out the Idea of trading either Boozer or Noah especially if they can fill voids and gets valuable picks in a deep draft you know?

Of course its just all wishful thinking, I would really love a Boozer type player on this team IMO, and Dunleavy and Kirk bring a level of consistency to our bench and they are vets as well, true vets.

I think you are really underrating Plumlee & Len (if he develops that is). The Suns can basically choose any available star player from a tanking team. I don't think they would (or have to) include Bledsoe in any trade, but it's going to take Rondo probably this whole season & longer to fully recover from his injury. I watched him play a little today & he wasn't moving that well & looks heavier, so on second thought, I'm not sure anybody is going to give up a lot of assets for him since it may not be worth it this season.

I don't think Bulls will ever shop Joakim Noah. He is franchise player to build around at the good price. No joke.

Watching Kincks/Nets right now in ESPN. DWill looks pretty good. Need to send Asik and Lin to Brooklyn for DWill. This will put us over the top.

Actually, watching the Knicks/Nets game..Knicks are horrible. Morey should ask what it would take to pry Melo away. No way Melo re-signs with them.

"The Greek Freak" is 6'10" and expected to reach 7'0", is a baby (he turned 19 just last month), is under team control through the 2016-17 season, makes chump change (less than $9 mil TOTAL through 2016-17), has a great attitude/work ethic, is a fan favorite, and is already a productive starting NBA player.

I was being conservative when I said he was one of the 15-20 most valuable commodities in the league. If we did a re-draft then there is a 100% chance that he goes #1 overall.

You have to look at a player's age, and the terms of his contract. A 19-year-old with seemingly unlimited upside and a fantastic attitude/work ethic, who is making chump change for FOUR YEARS, is a ridiculously valuable commodity.

Bill Simmons puts together a fun read every year where he ranks the top fifty players in terms of "value." I guarantee you that "The Greek Freak" is in the top 20 and it would not surprise me if he cracks the top five. Simmons is imperfect but he mostly gets it.

In any event, Milwaukee will not be trading this kid to Houston. No more trade ideas where this kid goes to Houston. So dumb! Besides, Houston is looking to win now, not three years from now. Think Rajon Rondo, or Ty Lawson.

Len is basically not even playing for the Suns, while Plumlee's boxscores lately have been pretty unimpressive. Plumlee is not some 20-year-old with big time upside, he's 25 years old. It is well established that an NBA player's peak value comes at around age 25, so what you see is what you are going to get here. Nice backup, for sure, but not the elite rebounder/defender that Asik is.

Len was projected to be a bust and he is looking like one. If I were Phoenix, I'd go out and get Asik for 50 cents on the dollar and trade away Len before his value gets worse than it already is. Although if Eric Bledsoe isn't coming back anytime soon then my analysis is probably different. What's the latest on Bledsoe?

Let's be real here. Top 5 in Simmons annual trade value article? No way.

Lebron, KD, Westbrook, Harden, KLove, Lillard, Irving, Aldridge, Paul George, Dwight, BGriffin, Carmelo, Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Rondo.

Those guys will make up the 1-15 in the trade value article this year.

Sometimes the best trades are no trades at all.
